While out looking for some of the previous beers we’ve talk about the last few weeks I was surprised to find the beer from the monks in my little hometown all the way down here in Dallas. It is interesting how things get around.
@compunaut It is definitely delicious. Had it in Brussels a few years back. Definitely a fan of the Trappist abbey ales. I also liked the Lambic beers as well. Kind of like drinking wheat wine. Although my top fave is the Westvleteren 12°.

The key to using bacon in your infusions is cooking it first. Don’t count on the vodka to do all the work. I’ve made a bacon jalapeño infused vodka for bloody marys. Also, if you don’t want to spend top dollar on your vodka, run your plastic jug vodka through a brita pitcher.
