@JOJOBASS Going to sell over 500 of these badly shaped Hershey's Kiss things... I am going to hold out for the pile of dog poop speaker set. No rocks in my yard... but plenty of the other stuff.
@mgarcia18 North Carolina taxes income, sales, food, property, fishing, hunting, cars, meh.com purchases, hotel stays, electricity, but it has 86 million dollars to give to a really bad football. Meh North Carolina
Seriously? Sold out 3 min in? Just don't sell it if you can't seriously at least have 1 hour's worth of the option to buy. Do I really have to use my hard earned $ at woot tonight?
@mothmer I think someone forgot to add a zero to the total number of speakers available. Please, someone fix the mistake. It took me 2 1/2 min. To convince the wife to let me buy these things. There should be a spouse clause.
@halnwheels How dare you call Captain Kirk such a repulsive name! Just because the rock could act better than he could... Seriously though, the Gorn looks like he is from the 70's. Didn't Luke take him out?
I got a set. I was actually looking at a set of these tonight at Sam's Club. I told my wife i was going to buy them the next time Meh had them.... and then it happened.
why didn't i say i was going to buy a car from Meh for a dollar? Would have been so much more satisfying!
What a rip for Mother's Day. You had 12? Is that even fair? Sold out in 3 minutes? You can send me a pair of them as a Mother's Day gift. I am loyal MVP after all.
Wait what?? East coast, stayed up checked at 12:04 and you were sold out?! What is this a Fukuboro or BOC? You had only 12? OK @narfcake you really did it this time!
Great strategic move, meh! That'll teach people not to get there at the exact moment. These laggards won't be taking you for granted anymore....unless its speaker dock Friday....
I'm thinking someone forgot to enter a "0" or "00" after "12" on the inventory count. Either that, or you guys are using SAP. I blame all of world's problems on SAP.

So you mean to tell me that for the next 23 hours and 47 minutes you are just going to ha 've a sold out page after selling a whopping 12 pairs... What a waste of traffic.
What the hell is this? 12 sold in 10 minutes and now your all sold out? What gives? Now we have to wait another 24 hours for a pot luck.. what you gonna do next time, sell 5? Your not being fair with your people.. drag a large number in then once established sell a dozen speakers? I'm disappointed.. I'm underwhelmed.. In short..
@chicorico .. Actually I was directing it at the chinglish but obviously my finger slipped but really it was all in fun, chinglish or you can comment freely without me or anyone raising cain, I mean this place isn't like some a-hole political forum. But in any case, I apologize.
The rock that broke the camel's back... Meh has teetered on and in my opinion crossed the threshold from mediocre to pitiful.
Nothing against this particular product, or the items I've purchased with VMP in the past; but too many months in a row not getting my money's worth. So this meh is a lame a stunt as any to convince me to finally pull the plug. No more VMP :/
Should have more than 12 of these available. We're doing a quick inventory check and we'll have more available soon... so I expect all you people bitching about early sellout are going to buy a speaker that looks like a rock in a few minutes, right?
@shawn nooooooooo even hough my forum posts have been lost twice in a row but i love it that saturday night was the new super low quantity day. If you sell more that sucks
Nebraska was well-represented. You know, if they bought three pairs of these things and stacked them on top of each other, they'd be visible from anywhere in the state.
as the description suggests, don't let all this sound and the fury generated go for naught. 12 speakers sold must remain for legendary re-tellings of "dismay dismay the 10th day of May, when forgot how to count more than a dozen was Meh"
@er1c These rocks have no amplifier, so they have no voltage or current. That means no cauterization. Sorry...I hope you don't bleed out before you find another solution.
@ChunkyBitz@er1c on the plus side however @dstanley has been shipping them faster and faster. So you may see it before a complete loss of consciousness.
@shawn that'd be great. Deal price fluctuates du to complainers on the forums. Shit. I'd have to stop posting. I can see it now "fukubukuro normally $5 your price $99 do you really want that sucker?"
Is it weird that I in no way was thinking of buying one, until it sold out.... I feel like there is some sort of strange "I wasn't interested in her until I knew I couldn't have her" sort of thing going on... Whatever the case- it worked... in for one
@msujp cN get? Did you seriously just call me a cN get? I'll fN gar you! And if you tell me what "the ones in the case" are, I might look at them. (Yes, I know that there are Bluetooth speakers with larger than 1-inch drivers. However, all of them that I've heard suck because of the self-amplification. Shitty amp equals shitty sound (because shitty amp equals shitty low-watt drivers in an all-in-one like a self-amplified Bluetooth speaker). At least wired speakers can be connected to a decent amp.) Also, if I wasn't cheap, why would I be at meh.com?
Is there a cheap mini amp that will drive these? I don't want to run wires out to my home theater. Was looking for a mini amp, but most of the 100 watt RMS ones are like 400 dollars.
@Prizeless I don't know brand but my officemate has a small battery powered amp (also has A/C plug) that was ~$50 and sounds very good. I can get details for you on Monday if you remind me (reply).
@Prizeless Rocketfish powers my remote speakers, rears on a 7.1 surround. One I got was 25 watt, and works great last eight years. Must be more models by now.
@Pufferfishy I've seen that one highly recommended many times. Nice price as well. And I believe you can even run it on 12 volts so it'd be handy for off-grid situations - add a solar panel...
@Prizeless I have the Pufferfishy Lepai amp as well as this one: http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-dta-1-class-t-ac-dc-battery-powered-mini-amplifier-15-wpc--300-380 . I like the Dayton better, but just by a little bit. The Lepai has a significant POP when you turn it on and off, plus it takes a while to warm up. It sounds pretty good though. Oh, note that there are some that claim the PS that P.E. sends with these amps is underpowered. Read all the comments before you buy. I do reccomed either amp. Also, the Dayton Audio products in general are really good. The cheap 6.5 inch bookshelf speakers are SURPRISING.
@Prizeless Throwing in my vote for what @narfcake, @Pufferfishy, and @G1 said — Lepai and Dayton are both legit Class D (Class T is essentially a proprietary Class D implementation) amps. I don't know what the efficiency on these rocks is (might say up there, not gonna look because tired), but asking for 100WPC either means the speakers you're driving are horribly inefficient, or you really need good dynamic swings… But these are speakers that look like rocks, you're sticking them under a gnome's ass in your garden or whatever… Whatever you drive them with will likely be good enough.
@Mehrocco_Mole You realize I was hired to remove the human element from Fuku/Fuko. All dates, quantities, and compositions will be determined by the new system I've put in place, codenamed WOPR...
Got back from the bar ASAP only to find @shawn was already on it... I think these rocks need to sell out for realz to make up for me missing out on that next beer...
@NigelF wait. Someone else fixed it and you missed out on a beer... But it had been a sellout and now it got a restock... So... Next round is on you? Do you work in the same building as @JonT by chance?
@snapster And I was out looking for your definition of The Deal to remind you that you only want to leave one customer wanting when you sell out. Then I looked at what you were offering again. I wanted to offer a Well Done on nailing The Deal.
Ok. I came back... I saw it back on sale after a disappointing sell-out. Purchased. But I'm telling you meh... One more stunt like this and I am done... Just remember, marketing is fine, but when you mess with the trust of your consumers... You will lose. I am no guinea pig. I will delete the hyperlink and never purchase again. That's a promise.
@mothmer I thought the whole point of meh was an experiment. And we were all test subjects.... Maybe I'm wrong here but I think it bothers you more than it should.
@sohmageek, Maybe it was the 50/100 AAA "Eco-friendly" batteries that I got that were leaking acid, or the headphones that broke during shipping, or even the IP cameras that they mistakenly shipped out but basically forced people to buy. But there comes a point where you need to own it if you screwed up. Experiment all you want with the website, the quirky stories, even the mildly entertaining sock puppet... But the experiment should end at the firewall. Yeah, it probably bothers me more than it should, but I can honestly say that it is not unfounded.
@mothmer Just for clarification, nobody was forced to buy an IP camera. If you were sent the wrong product by mistake, you had the option of keeping it by paying a drastically reduced price, or sending it back and meh's cost. They sent out labels to people who wanted to send them back.
@cengland0 my experience was dramatically different from what you are describing. I clicked on the link to return it but it took me to a page that said that they had reached the maximum number of "returns" for this product. I, thinking that perhaps I could use the cameras at what you describe as a "drastically reduced price" (I disagree), so I kept them. Only to find that the manufacturer requires registration with their company to use them in the first place ( unlike the Foscam's). Look, I buy on whim like most people on meh, my timeAs far more valuable than the products that I buy. My point is that, back to the actual reason that I made the statement in the first place, is that if I am the one being experimented upon, by listing 13 of one item then selling out, then putting it back on sale... Then it is simply not worth my time... Much like this response. forced? No. But trying to rectify the error was more trouble that it was worth and in the end they got my money and I have a camera I can't use.
@mothmer #1. If you had trouble with the return, did you contact customer support for a solution? Probably not. #2. The price was drastically reduced even if you disagree. Can you find it cheaper elsewhere? #3. Can you show me in the owners manual where it requires registration with insteon before the camera works? http://cache.insteon.com/documentation/75790-en.pdf
@cengland0 #1 no time #2 don't care #3 no manual in the box, hey but thanks for the link. Maybe I'll use it after all. By the way, how many of your AAA batteries came defective? Also, what do you care?
@mothmer Not sure how many batteries leaked yet. I did get them but they are still in their original package and I don't see any leaking that went through the packaging. When I get some time, I'll open it up and verify they are okay.
I will guarantee you that if any batteries are leaking, I can contact meh customer support and they will handle it to my satisfaction.
I'm not sure what your expectations are when an error is made but it seems like meh bent over backwards to make the issue right. They immediately shipped the correct product before waiting for you to return or pay for the wrong item. Then, it was basically on the honor system for you to either pay or return it. What else would you have them do? Kill the person in the warehouse that was responsible for the error? Personally come to your house and beg for forgiveness? I cannot think of a better solution than what they offered but I'm curious what reasonable thing you think they should have done instead.
@cengland0 Hey dude, I'm pro Meh. I've been here since the beginning. My original point here is that social experimentation at the expense of their loyal consumers can not, must not be tolerated. Mistakes are made all the time, but if you disguise them in the "we're mediocre so what do you expect" routine... It's a cute marketing ploy, but an aweful business stance. Look, I'll keep buying as long as they keep selling things I want. So long as it meets my standards. It's really not that big a deal. No, not kill the warehouse guy. Poor kid probably makes minimum wage. But LITERALLY half were bad. That's not an accident, that's just poor purchasing, shipping, or handling. The worst part is that the price is so good that it's not worth my time to return them (or get my hand filled with toxic battery acid). This is fun... Continue?
@mothmer Continue? No. You have your mind made up that they are purposely doing some experiment on you when it was an honest mistake. I cannot fix your perception so I'm not even going to try.
@cengland0 Ok, let's agree to disagree. I think I'll start a deal of the day website called rob you blind. Just think of it, people will flock to my site to just have the experience of getting screwed! Sarcasm embodied.
@mick I have neighbors across the street whose Christmas decorations every year include a loudspeaker playing bad MIDI versions of various Christmas carols. Two Christmases ago they left it playing on Christmas Eve until 3 a.m.
OK I GET THE MAKETING STRADEGY, BETWEEN THE ALARM CLOCK AND THESE STUPID ROCK SPEAKERS, 2 DAYS THIS WEEK YOU WERE SOLD OUT 5 MINS AFTER THE ITEMS WERE POSTED ..YOUR TRYING TO TRAIN EVERYONE TO BE HERE AS SOON AS YOU POST AN ITEM OR RISK LOOSING OUT ..ITS WORKING BUT HONEST ITS CRUEL, MAKES YOU GUYS LOOK LIKE DICWAD AZZCLOWNS THAT DONT APPRECIATE YOUR CUSTOMERS ..NOW TAKE THOSE STUPID FUCCING ROCKS AND STICK THEM YOU KNOW WHERE ALL 12 OF THEM HAVE A NICE DAY :)
@mickeysweb NOW GO BACK TO YOUR SHINE BOX BET YOU DIME TO A DOLLAR YOU DONT MAKE ENOUGH TO BUY A ROCK SPEAKER JUST SPEND ALL DAY ON FORUMS SHOWING OFF YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS THAT NO ONE REALLY CARES ABOUT
@mellowirishgent I don't want to correct your grammar but I would suggest you take a look at your keyboard. It appears your caps lock key might be stuck.
@mellowirishgent *KNOW *WHAT'S WORSE THAN THAT? ENGLISH MAJORS THAT FEEL THE NEED TO CORRECT *PEOPLE THAT *COULDN'T GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT CORRECT *GRAMMAR. DUH. There, I fixed it for you :-)
@mickeysweb OK THERES A TV CHANNEL YOU DONT LIKE YOU DONT TURN TO IT , CCAPS BOTHER YOU YOU DONT READ THEM PASS THE COMMENT ON BY ..HOW LARGE LETTERS OFFEND PPL THAT ARENT FORCED TO READ THEM IS BEYOND LOGIC..
@mellowirishgent Oh, and I'm not even close to being an English Major. I can say I learned a thing or two in my twelve years of public schooling, though.
I teach financial accounting, and this is a PERFECT description for when I teach LCM inventory. Do these descriptions get archived anywhere so I could post it as a permanent link?
You seem to have missed the obvious self defense use of this product. While not as heavy and durable as real rocks, they could still be hurled at intruders.
Looks like they found more in the warehouse: lethal-terrible-saturn I wouldn't have, normally, but I'm building up to a big Halloween this year, and these will be dandy for thunder/screams/howls.
@RedOak I really only need the crack of thunder and some flashing lights. Don't particularly need the bass. Maybe I can get a linear actuator to thump a panel of MDF.
@trisk The one person in the entire group who did not dress for the occasion... front row. 'Hey Jack, the quilt is too long... but so is your jacket... and pants for that matter... so you get to be on the FRONT ROW...'

@rrmcgrew turd
Cool...not
Damn it! I wanted speaker docks, not speaker rocks!
@lljk The speaker docks will be on Friday.
@lljk I was going to say if they had a dock... But someone beat me to it... Good job.
Also meh. I don't need. Nor do I want.
@lljk So, like a speaker rock dock? Or something more like a speaker dock rock..
And the crowd goes mild!!!
@JOJOBASS Going to sell over 500 of these badly shaped Hershey's Kiss things... I am going to hold out for the pile of dog poop speaker set. No rocks in my yard... but plenty of the other stuff.
It's speaker rock sunday!
$25 each.
One sold. $27 total.
wat
@armchair Tax
@cengland0 It must suck to live in a state that has a sales tax.
@ChunkyBitz worse still to live in a state with income tax...
@NigelF AHEM New York AHEM it must also suck to live in the state that taxes food but not clothing -.-
@mgarcia18 North Carolina taxes income, sales, food, property, fishing, hunting, cars, meh.com purchases, hotel stays, electricity, but it has 86 million dollars to give to a really bad football. Meh North Carolina
@dino2269 Well, how else could they be expected to fail in style? Without the tax revenues, they would have to shop at Goodwill.
@cengland0 Ah, thanks for reminding me about that.
@dino2269 I hear ya, NC pretty much sucks all around. I was born and raised there, never wanna go back.
What if this doesn't match the rocks in your area?
@mehgrl spray paint, yo.
@mehgrl then ur neighborhood isn't rockin.
@mehgrl crush them down to use as gravel
@mehgrl You buy enough to replace ALL of the rocks- that's how they get cha.
@mehgrl move.
cheaper than last time
Please never stock these again once you sell out.
Alternatively throw what's left into hilariously overweight Fukubukuro bags.
Happy Mehther's Day
They look like fake rocks. Maybe if they looked like real rocks...
You have got to be kidding? Right? Please tell me you are kidding?
Twelve in stock? I understand that you guys think Sundays are slow days but wow.
@molfsontan Can't say I've seen that happen before. Just when I was considering spray painting one the right color.
that's a lot of copywriting for 12 fake rocks.
@saodell Or even for 24.
The food here is terrible. And the portions are too small.
A dozen?! WTF?
@narfcake you have your work cut out for you...
@narfcake just annoying, dumb & disappointing... 12? REALLY?
@mehdaf Meh's shipping department: 12 items - what work?
@LongDoggie REALLY!
Sold out? Obviously they didn't actually have any.
are we going to have the first ever Meh-off???
@webender better be...
@webender meh-off sounds lame, should be called meh-day
@webender My vote is for the Mehpocalypse.
@antsam999. Jack meh off might be better
Wtf just happened? 12 for sale??
I got a rock.
(I didn't get a rock.)
12 pairs... really? I was just about to click buy and at 12:03 it was sold out....
well done Meh!
Wow, Meh's description is spot-on, they look exactly like fake rocks. Uncanny.
Sold out in 3 minutes?
@skennedy when you have all of 12 pairs yes...now we have 12 angry men
These do NOT rock. They might if they had a dock.
Rock docks, these are not.
@Otis_T_Slim Oh.... just wait for the new hit release of 'I'm going to Rock around the Rock tonight'.... then, then you will be eating your words...
Wow, just wow. Bar is lowered...
magical-verdant-beast
ok coolest code yet.............. i got puff the magic dragon.
Sold out 12? You guys ROCK.....
HA, awesome! I read the write up, refreshed at 11:04 and sold out. lol
@stuntdriver this didn't even make them enough money to warrant paying @jasontoon for the write up.
@mehdaf After all the talk about taking the loss it was funny that they really didn't take much of one.
@stuntdriver true, well technically they didn't make any money at all so they certainly didn't make enough to pay the freelance writer...
@mehdaf Looks like they may be rolling some more out soon.
So you paid more than $25 for these wholesale? Yikes
This is bologna..... If you are going to stock stupid rock speakers, at least sell enough for me to buy some!
Gone in less than 5 minutes... Geeez.
yeah all 12 of them sold in 5 minutes, really 12 ?
Keep your stupid speaker!
@Fish_Kungfu He's a Gorn, if I recall correctly. It's amazing how some memories didn't get wiped out by all the drugs.
@halnwheels How dare you call Captain Kirk such a repulsive name! Just because the rock could act better than he could... Seriously though, the Gorn looks like he is from the 70's. Didn't Luke take him out?
Wait, there were only TWELVE total?
That's a rockin' good troll, Meh.
That escalated quickly.
Apparently they want a day off in the warehouse.
I got a set. I was actually looking at a set of these tonight at Sam's Club. I told my wife i was going to buy them the next time Meh had them.... and then it happened.
why didn't i say i was going to buy a car from Meh for a dollar? Would have been so much more satisfying!
@capguncowboy you should have been looking for a Mercedes...and told your wife you would buy one the next time they came up on Meh....
@eeterrific Mehcedes?
Congrats Meh on your $304 in sales....
12 pairs? That's it? Lol!
What a rip for Mother's Day. You had 12? Is that even fair? Sold out in 3 minutes? You can send me a pair of them as a Mother's Day gift. I am loyal MVP after all.
12 in stock and sold out. Hilarious. I love you more today than I did yesterday.
Wait what?? East coast, stayed up checked at 12:04 and you were sold out?! What is this a Fukuboro or BOC? You had only 12? OK @narfcake you really did it this time!
@readnj When every sale is a loss, the best approach is to sell more, right?!
@narfcake yep "we can make it up in volume!"
@RedOak Just don't let the boss know, or we'll be in treble!
Just noticed that is an interesting autocorrect Fukubukuro...corrected to Fukuboro?
Twelve is twelve too many.
What's the deal, Meh? I would've been fine if you had plenty of these for me not to buy, meh products are to be expected, but to sell out after 12?
I'm hurt and confused.
Well played meh, well played.
I love this place.
good writeup
Wait up. No sales from California. Woah!
Correction no west coast sales. Wow!
@sohmageek We were being nice. /s
really - sold out already....
Great strategic move, meh! That'll teach people not to get there at the exact moment. These laggards won't be taking you for granted anymore....unless its speaker dock Friday....
Lame MEH 12 items....Seriously 12???
The sales would not pay for the cost of keepin the website up for a day!
TRY HARDER MEH!!!
@brianconnolly maybe they got the products for free... Thinking of which... i have a box of stuff you may be interested in. Let me know.
@brianconnolly They could try harder, but they don't.
At 9:03 these were all gone. Meh, don't you understand that the fun is in deciding whether to buy or not?
@Pamela Should have decided faster ;)
Funniest "sell out" ever. Either this is a brilliant joke or we will be reading one helluva ohshit! report soon. Either way I was never buying this.
Meh, you guys are too funny.
If it weren't for your transparency, people would probably assume that hundreds of these sold out in 2 minutes. Just cool.
They sold for $40 the last time. https://meh.com/deals/audiosource-outdoor-rock-speaker-pair
@cengland0 LOL So apparently they took a horrendous write-down of $180. Play a VERY tiny violin.
I'm thinking someone forgot to enter a "0" or "00" after "12" on the inventory count. Either that, or you guys are using SAP. I blame all of world's problems on SAP.
@hems79 Meh, or for that matter, any company the size of Meh would never be so stupid as to install SAP.

@ManBehindPlan @RedOak @hems79 Speakers Are Plentiful.
So you mean to tell me that for the next 23 hours and 47 minutes you are just going to ha 've a sold out page after selling a whopping 12 pairs... What a waste of traffic.
I'm trying to understand why the price wasn't 5 bucks if there were only 12? Would be a much more dramatic statement.
@RedOak Well we didn't want to give them away ...
I should not be personally hurt and saddened by this middle finger on mother's day. I am both. Does this say more about you or about me?
Missed it. Now how to be annoying for neighbors?
@rearly You can adopt @lisaviolet's neighbors!
FUCK! SHIT! DAMMIT!
@boc strangest order code yet.
In short..
@unkabob CRY US A MEHVER
@unkabob hahaha!
@chicorico .. You must have been of the buyers.. wait till it happens to you.
@unkabob no, i liked your comment and thought it was funny.
@chicorico .. Actually I was directing it at the chinglish but obviously my finger slipped but really it was all in fun, chinglish or you can comment freely without me or anyone raising cain, I mean this place isn't like some a-hole political forum. But in any case, I apologize.
Clearly this was about shutting down the Meh engine early so the Meh folks could devote proper attention to their deserving mothers tomorrow.
@RedOak they probably took all the excess rocks as mehther's day gifts
@RedOak
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
happy day to all the mothers out there.

@shawn nooooooooo even hough my forum posts have been lost twice in a row but i love it that saturday night was the new super low quantity day. If you sell more that sucks
@shawn Of course not...who would want a speaker that looks like a fake rock? I think people just like to bitch.
@ChunkyBitz ... I'll buy a set.. I'm getting tired of wringing my sounddomes out every time it rains.
@shawn I wants bitching. I found it awesome. But gotta work for a living. So congrats on fixing it.
@shawn I bitched, but then I bought
This is the best deal (ever) so far....
some sort of failure in today's event - hopefully will be addressed momentarily. at least product is boring.
@snapster - Oh, oops. Interesting reactions, though. A little of everything.
@snapster dont do it. Make saturday night the better be fast day
@snapster Definitely looking forward to the oh shit report. Or skip the report. It's @narfcake 's fault.
@cj0e BLEAT!
@snapster Never thought there were only 12. Knew it was a mistake of some kind, so planned to check on it in the morning and, voila!...fixed. Thanks.
Nebraska was well-represented. You know, if they bought three pairs of these things and stacked them on top of each other, they'd be visible from anywhere in the state.
@mr_crash_davis Said someone with no experience in Nebraska...
@thechinglish I'm guessing you started that comment with a '12.', and not knowing how lists work in Markdown, now look like a crazy person?
@brhfl Not sure the truth would change had @thechinglish gotten their comment correct.
@NigelF Fair point.
Hilarious, the quick sell out goes great with the write up
You were supposed to write down the price not the inventory.
Wait... is this a puzzle?
2 stones per order, 12 orders total, 24 stones in all...
is the answer to the hidden riddle 336 pounds?
Well, at least California got blanked. . . in the first round of the sale.
They rolled some more out! Hurry up and buy them, I want to see how many they have :)
as the description suggests, don't let all this sound and the fury generated go for naught. 12 speakers sold must remain for legendary re-tellings of "dismay dismay the 10th day of May, when forgot how to count more than a dozen was Meh"
guess they found more
Are you fucking kidding me? I will fucking disembowel myself.
@er1c funny to imagine this is due to the sale turning back on :)
@er1c That's your call, I guess. Whatever makes you happy. Also, more for me in the future.
@snapster Can I rewire these rocks to cauterize my wounds?
@er1c These rocks have no amplifier, so they have no voltage or current. That means no cauterization. Sorry...I hope you don't bleed out before you find another solution.
@ChunkyBitz @er1c on the plus side however @dstanley has been shipping them faster and faster. So you may see it before a complete loss of consciousness.
A lot of complainers about the quick sellout...and yet only four bought since they put more out.
@bruno187 I was almost considering raising the price when I turned the deal back on.
@shawn that'd be great. Deal price fluctuates du to complainers on the forums. Shit. I'd have to stop posting. I can see it now "fukubukuro normally $5 your price $99 do you really want that sucker?"
@shawn You know what they say, "You can make some of the people happy some of the time, but none of the meh'ers happy all of the time."
I'm glad I didn't complain about the low quantity. Where do you have to live for these to look like real rocks?
Is it weird that I in no way was thinking of buying one, until it sold out.... I feel like there is some sort of strange "I wasn't interested in her until I knew I couldn't have her" sort of thing going on... Whatever the case- it worked... in for one
@gozags9 that's how they get us, we are just their lab rats. in for a pair now.
@thismyusername
Nooooooooo why didnt you leave it sold out.
Oh and lost in this thread is the fact that "who buys wired speakers anymore? Just take your bluetooth speakers outside"
@msujp Yeah, because 1-inch battery-powered speakers sound so rockin' outside.
@ChunkyBitz uhh there are much bigger than one inch speakers you cN get. Maybe you shouldnt be so cheap and look at the ones in the case bud.
@ChunkyBitz how do these sound?
@ChunkyBitz "Also, if I wasn't cheap, why would I be at meh.com?". . . Yep, that'd be why 98.6% of us are here!
@msujp You just answered your own question. You can get much better sound quality for the same money if you go wired.
Rock out with your rock out...side!
@eVil
Can these be used indoors?
@er1c bath?
@TerriblyHuang dad?
@er1c Yes, they will look great beside your fake plants!
Can these be used on airplanes?
@Shawn @Snapster
@er1c Yes, as long as you don't mind being on the no-fly list.
Is there a cheap mini amp that will drive these? I don't want to run wires out to my home theater. Was looking for a mini amp, but most of the 100 watt RMS ones are like 400 dollars.
@Prizeless Get one of those $20-ish Lepai amps. Or just get a receiver from a thrift store for about the same $$ or less.
@Prizeless I have this and it's kick-ass
http://www.parts-express.com/lepai-lp-2020a-tripath-class-t-hi-fi-audio-mini-amplifier-with-power-supply--310-300
You definitely don't want to take these for granite.
@LettuceEatCake gneiss one
@LettuceEatCake Do you think we have schist for brains?
@LettuceEatCake you clearly don't know what your talcing about.
You realize when the next Fukubukuro sells out we will be demanding you turn it back on! Oh yeah, we bitch like that!
@Mehrocco_Mole You realize I was hired to remove the human element from Fuku/Fuko. All dates, quantities, and compositions will be determined by the new system I've put in place, codenamed WOPR...
@NigelF Is your WOPR powered by a VIC-20 like the one in the movie? By the way, my WiFi SSID is WOPR.
@NigelF
@thismyusername Not that one, it's the little screen on WOPR that shows that it's playing a game. Totally VIC-20:
Got back from the bar ASAP only to find @shawn was already on it... I think these rocks need to sell out for realz to make up for me missing out on that next beer...
@NigelF I notice no complaints about the beer you were working on. Didn't leave any did we?
@Mehrocco_Mole Of course not! I quaffed my Staropramen with gusto before beating a hasty retreat to my apartment.
@NigelF You sir, are my hero.
@NigelF wait. Someone else fixed it and you missed out on a beer... But it had been a sellout and now it got a restock... So... Next round is on you? Do you work in the same building as @JonT by chance?
@sohmageek Not on the weekends
@snapster And I was out looking for your definition of The Deal to remind you that you only want to leave one customer wanting when you sell out. Then I looked at what you were offering again. I wanted to offer a Well Done on nailing The Deal.
Then you turned it back on. #sigh
@mothmer
Best Rock Video ever!
oh meh..meh....
I don't want to annoy, bother , disturb, irritate my neighbors in any way. I wish they gave me as much consideration.
@mick Sounds like retaliation time.
@mick I have neighbors across the street whose Christmas decorations every year include a loudspeaker playing bad MIDI versions of various Christmas carols. Two Christmases ago they left it playing on Christmas Eve until 3 a.m.
How come the RK5G looks like the RK2G..?
Wow, wirefi fake rocks, what next?
Does this mean I can get a fire phone free with my upgrade for Verizon?
glad I went for it thanks.jay bird
Now watch as the people who bought this receive a pair of LED lanterns or webcams instead of their fake rocks.
So, do the little red and blue antenna thingies at the lower left of the picture mean that these are Bluetooth (and redtooth) enabled?

I teach financial accounting, and this is a PERFECT description for when I teach LCM inventory. Do these descriptions get archived anywhere so I could post it as a permanent link?
@llabak Here you go: https://meh.com/deals/5-10-2015
@llabak This would also be a PERFECT description of the F.I.S.H. (first in, still here) method of inventory valuation!
@texquill Win win win win win
You seem to have missed the obvious self defense use of this product. While not as heavy and durable as real rocks, they could still be hurled at intruders.
@fscook Not as effective as speaker docks.
do these double as Pet Rocks?
@PenguinOnTheRox Yes, and they can even warble and purr. If you connect them to a digital media player with those sounds loaded.
Looks like they found more in the warehouse:
lethal-terrible-saturn
I wouldn't have, normally, but I'm building up to a big Halloween this year, and these will be dandy for thunder/screams/howls.
@PocketBrain perhaps screams & howls, but they could use a bit more longer wavelength capability (100hz bottom end) for truly effective thunder.
@RedOak I really only need the crack of thunder and some flashing lights. Don't particularly need the bass. Maybe I can get a linear actuator to thump a panel of MDF.
Maybe it's the margarita talking, but I thought today's write-up was pretty insightful. Nice work.
@ACraigL I agree. It was actually educational and informative, things I never expected to find on Meh.
@lljk University of Meh! Just understand that the PhD stands for Probably half Drunk.
@narfcake based on the writeup, the traditional progression may still hold of BS, More of the Same, and Piled Higher & Deeper.
@nadroj True!
Also, http://shirt.woot.com/offers/college-of-apathy
scientific-technical-quilt
@trisk The one person in the entire group who did not dress for the occasion... front row. 'Hey Jack, the quilt is too long... but so is your jacket... and pants for that matter... so you get to be on the FRONT ROW...'
It looks like there are still some left. Can I use them for surround sound if meh sells TVs again?
@nadroj Sure. If you live in a cave. Wait a minute... They sold TV's? W(here)TF was I?
@discmaster no idea where you were but there was even a TV2fer https://meh.com/deals/2-for-tuesday--emerson-dumb-tv-s--refurbished-
520 speaker rocks sold so far today.
Any guesses how many are left?
@TerriblyHuang 892
@stupidrobot @TerriblyHuang 892 left or sold?
Wish I had purchased these to make my own rock headphones.
@jont should my order still be "processing"?
@thismyusername yes, these haven't shipped yet but should by the end of today.
I just came to comment on how awesome these speakers sound on my back patio. Thanks Meh.
