@Kyeh@RiotDemon I’m going to have nightmares about rashoman. Giant man covered in rashes? Giant radish with human arms/legs? Only the subconscious will tell
@Kyeh
I heard it as “roshdimon”. Sort of what you’d get if it was spelled “Rotidimon”, wih the “ti” pronounced as in “lotion”. Much dyselxic, very mondegreenish.
It’s a subconscious signal from the brain that you may need to recalibrate your perception of reality. Either Morpheus is trying to help you save the world or your being Inceptioned. Or possibly, IRK might be right… Psychopath!
I can’t recall the last time I had a pleasant dream. My dreams pretty much always devolve into stressful situations. Lately (for several years), I remember fewer of the details and often just wake with some vague images and a general sense of unease. (Probably some kind of unconscious defense mechanism.)
@macromeh I had a lot of really bad dreams like that for a while. It was due to medication. I still have some crazy dreams… But not the ones where I woke up in a pit of despair and dread.
My dreams are like a living Terry Gilliam film. I’m pretty sure my brain releases psilocybin with the melatonin. I can’t even describe them half of the time. And many times they’re extremely violent or sexual.
I get lots of lucid dreams. Usually if I try to take melatonin to try and reset my clock. I really need better sleep habits.
But I definitely had a full on nightmare last week can’t remember what/why. The absolute worst is when something kicks you awake and you can’t physically move for a minute. Sleep paralysis is a giant bitch.
Oh no.
“Rashoman”?
@Kyeh I was wondering how badly my name could be butchered. I had no idea this was in the cards.
@RiotDemon This one was really a stretch!

@RiotDemon @unksol Scary in a different way, only I spelled it wrong:
@Kyeh @RiotDemon Wonder what that’s about rashomon looks better
@RiotDemon @unksol It’s a great movie, actually - it’s about how unreliable our views of things can be, the whole problem with “eye-witness testimony.”

@Kyeh @RiotDemon hmm. Human perception has all sorts of problems. Before we even get into “eye witness” issues in court

@werehatrack OH - that makes sense!
Like “ghoti” = " fish." I bet you’re right.

@kuoh @RiotDemon The craziest nightmares I ever had were when I was taking (prescribed) Percocet. Maybe that’s what’s causing yours?
@algae1221 @kuoh montelukolast. Allergy medication.

So, yeah - Psychopath.
