Has anyone used these, I’m looking for your thoughts? Amazon ratings are pretty good at 4.7, people aren’t liking the price but they are much cheaper here. I’m surprised that they are so heat tolerant, microwave, oven, sous vide, AND dishwasher safe!
@Lynnerizer I bought these a while back but have only used one of them, for storing something in the fridge. I do like being able to reuse them instead of using little plastic baggies that just go in the trash afterwards. They seem very sturdy.
@Lynnerizer I’ve got a ton of them in various form factors. I really like them. They hold less than you think from the dimensions, however. I frequently use them in the freezer. (You can write on them with dry erase for the date and contents.) Then they can go straight to the microwave. They function reasonably in the sous vide (but I have to use food grade magnets to keep them submerged correctly.) They clean up well in the dishwasher, stretched across the prongs to hold them open. They don’t dry out that well for me, so I got a cheap bamboo drying rack for them. I’ve bought them over and over again from Meh and Sidedeal. I don’t really need any more. If they had wide-bottomed ones, I’d still get more though. I haven’t tried them in the oven.
@Skipbidder
My mom must’ve bred something into me, I hear the tapes playing in my head “DON’T WASTE THE BAGGIES OR ALUMINUM FOIL” every time I even THINK about going to use them. Lol
I think I’m going to give them a try and see how it goes. You convinced me! Thanks, I appreciate it!
I have tons of stasher bags at home and use them daily. I have had most of them for several years and they’ve held up. I push them in the dishwasher and dry propped on a drying mat. I personally have liked having a variety of sizes. I find them leak proof!
This is an auto buy for me. I use our bags daily for lunches, freezing leftovers, etc. I’ve used them in the oven and microwave with no issue. The only bag that has split so far was because it was washed with a steak knife and got poked, and now I just use that one for non food items.
Chiming in to say I agree with what the other folks have written. We have lots of Stashers in all kinds of sizes and it took a little while to get used to using them but they’re generally pretty great. Stashers are the good/quality versions of these kinds of bags. The seal does well in the freezer but drying after washing can be a pain.
The sandwich sized bags are good for your standard 2-slices of bread types of sandwiches unless you really load up your sandwiches, in which case it may be difficult to squeeze it in and your sando may get squished when you close the bag. We’ve used the sandwich size to freeze 1-2 person servings of ground beef, which is what we used to do with plastic baggies.

@Kyeh
Thanks! I’m going to think about it.
@Lynnerizer I’ve got some. But they’re bigger than this. They’re handy and it’s nice that I can just throw them in the dishwasher.

What about the freezer? Do they remain fully closed?
@JohnQ118 In my experience, yes.
I routinely freeze in these bags without any issue with them accidentally opening
