A lot of washboards and banjos and “hey! ho!” and corduroy and overalls permeated the indie/folk revival of the time. Not my cup of tea, but at the time they seemed like they were everywhere (along with Mumford & Sons… lots of brothers and sons and other familial music back then).

My 5 cats, who are not at all finicky, collectively turned up their noses at this stuff and refused to eat it. I donated the remaining 46 cans (argh) to the local shelter, with hopes that some of those poor kitties will be hungry/desperate enough to chow it down.
@k4evryng@kpearse Yep, same here. Got some for my foster mom cat and she ate a bit then buried the rest under her blanket. Not sure if it’s because it’s chunk and she prefers pate? Maybe if I puree it… lol
I have an older cat who has trouble keeping food done nowadays and she loves this stuff. The other cats will go for the leftovers. Of course the high bar standard is Friskies gravy catfood so take from that what you will.

Can’t speak for cat food but they make an EXCELLENT dry dog food with beef broth that makes its own gravy

@kpearse me too! I have 3 cats and bought both flavors last time. I thought surely at least ONE of my cats would eat it…but nope.
I’m going to try mixing it with some meow mix and see if that makes a difference, but if not, it will go to our local shelter as well.

I couldn’t get my cat or my folks’ cats to eat this with any regularity. I donated most of it to a shelter.

My two cats absolutely love this stuff. No clue why, but they chow it down like it’s the last cat food on earth.
