I prefer the kind of cupholder phone mounts that have a hollow base, so the cupholder remains usable. I’m hoping I can cannibalize the top of this and add it to the base I’m already using. Hopefully the ball heads and sockets are similarly sized…
@shahnm
I’ve used those phone clamps in several locations including mounting one in my shop to keep my phone available and off the workbench. In my experience the ball and joints are in fact interchangeable.
OK, i’m linguistically somewhat ignorant on furrin werds; is the plural “qis” properly pronounced like “keys” or “cheese”? (Asking for a friend of a friend who’s heard it both ways.)
[Meh, either way.]
After reading the first three pages on Walmart, it’s a definite no because almost all complained about build quality and too small for American cupholders. Also, where do you put your cups? Too bad I really wanted these.
@craigcush
I’ve had a few different iterations of this. If you use the kind that still allows you to use the cupholder you have to make sure it has a tall enough stem so your phone will be out of the way or you’re constantly tipping you drink to get it in and out (which can be problematic depending on what you’re using).
In case anyone is wondering (although the next to last picture confirms it) yes, iPhones are compatible with Qi wireless charging. Ever since about iPhone 8 or so. HTH

@communist This looks like a 7.82 on the Meh scale of 1.35 to 11.71.
Perfect.

The meh item looks like the inferior other item in the Amazon comparison.
Is the Qi version noted anywhere? Well, at only 10w, it really doesn’t matter.

@phendrick I’d pronounce it as “quiz”.
@phendrick Definitely “kiss” as in the action caused by mistletoe hanging above the door.

Works great in the cup holder, and the charger does what it’s supposed to do. That’s what I got it for!
