Have bought many different power banks for myself and others over the years. The one thing they all have in common? No one ever uses them. We have moved on to just having charging cables everywhere.
@ponagathos I keep some in the car, some at home, and one in my gym bag. Have used all of them. Power goes out at home (regular A/C charger is useless), Mrs. cengland0 calls too many people while at the gym then needs a recharge, and I’ve used Waze in the car which kills the battery. I do have a USB port in the car but it keeps trying to connect for music or something and that’s annoying so I never use that port (it constantly displays error messages and wants me to download software).
$2.50 each for a power bank that you can leave in your glove box or give to someone who ran their phone done to 5%, that works for me. I’ll get more that the cost in goodwill to others. Plus it’s a useful stocking stuffer. I’m in.
I have a 20,00 mAh pink brick I paid 12 bucks for 4 years ago from eBay,still works and you cant run this thing down but takes 24 hours to fully charge, But I’m taking the deal here at least once a week someone says to me my phone is dying so for $2.50 shipped its an excellent here keep it gift …I’ve bought several small ones from Meh they all got plenty of compliments as gifts.
In for a set, cheaper than 18650 batteries alone and they are also nice for a light emergency backup…I don’t need a full charge, I need a “hey dad my phone was dead, sorry” prevent ion charge.
@tightwad I use a bunch of 18650’s but not sure if this particular one has any inside. All the USB chargers I’ve taken apart have those flat cells in them. The high capacity versions have multiple ones in parallel.
At least these are long and skinny – like an 18650. But it’s still risky hoping to get a good battery in these things.
@tightwad I can sell you dubious 18650 batteries for less than $2.50 each. I don’t have the authentic looking heat shrink sleeve, so the batteries will have the wrong color sleeves and be labeled “Samzung 2,100 mAh” with a sharpie.
For just 50 cents more each, I will label them with a recent date code and a capacity of your choice. (Note that a big number on the label will not change the actual capacity of the battery.)
@hamjudo Can you do 25,000 mAh? If these $3 computer speakers (powered by a 6v, 300ma wall wart) can put out 560w, imagine what these super high capacity batteries can do! But you’re going to have to do better than $1.50. Fakeshit4sale is running a special already on their 27,500 mAh cells that have a “lifetimes garnutey”.

Given that the picture with iPhone says this deal doesn’t include an iPhone, but the picture with the can of soda does not carry a similar disclaimer, I presume that I’ll be receiving two cans of soda. I bet they’ll charge my phone faster than these 8 crappy chargers.
I cracked mine open and extracted the sweet, sweet tubes of energy… same China brand as the powerbank/fan things that meh sold. The ones with a metal case have slightly higher capacity 2500mAh batteries so there’s that. I think I’ll connect them together and create one big mama power bank.

Does they goes boom?
@yakkoTDI
/youtube powerbank explode
@medz I love HPC!!
If it doesn’t have at least a 2 amp output, then it’s a strong NO!
Can you chain them all together to make 1 decent one?
@medz Sure, please send a video of the outcome
What? No pez?!
The last picture looks like power ranger Pez dispensers.
Now I want some Pez!
@Brasssong Power Rangers? I thought those were Dynaman.
@yakkoTDI You are correct. my powers of observation were dulled by the effects of liquor and turkey.
More leftovers. Meh.
I’m addicted to power banks. I hope I get a least one purple one.
I think I’d rather have the nuts.
@fuzzmanmatt TWSS
/youtube that’s a lot of nuts
@therealjrn … had to pause to work that out… I’m at work so just checked the listing for today
@fuzzmanmatt ya, rather have the soda
2000mah? No thanks.
I’m powerless to resist (sigh).

When was Meh bought out by the corporate juggernaut Blue Sky Soda Co.?

@ponagathos I do to… But still used one of mine a couple of days ago while reading the paper on my tablet

2000 mAh is about half a charge on a cell phone these days.
@jandrese yes, 2000 mAh is too little of a deposit for these things to be called banks.
@sparkyfarad And the interest rate is truly pathetic.
I give up. Who needs bananas anyway?
So, where can I get that Blue Sky soda so I can figure out how big it all is?
10 years ago maybe, but not even close now.
These are the powerbanks my last firm gifted us for Christmas. Nice idea. Unfortunately, they weren’t powerful enough to be useful.
If you can turn your phone off (which we couldn’t - work phones), perhaps they may be worth using.
@Wtcher Well now you know why they gave those - they cost almost nothing
these should’ve been bundled with the JetJat drone- they’ll recharge that thing 4 times each.
@alacrity Whoa, that many times?
@blaineg easily- i think the drone’s battery is only 250-350ma

You tempted me, since my wife doesn’t like to carry the bigger, heavier one she has.
But I’d rather get one $10 charger, than four $2.50 chargers.
These are a dollar each on ebay

@awk be careful to mind the discharge voltage…you gonna run series to up the volts, or run parallel to decrease internal resistance?
@dickie541 parallel batteries of course… same circuitry, same voltage, bigger capacity, slower charge
