Neato Botvac 65 Robotic Vacuum
- The floorbot that maps out your rooms with laser, so, you know, laser!
- Has corners, unlike that other round floorbot, so, you know, it can reach corners
- Comes with docking station, boundary marker, brush bar, and 5 filters, so, you know, accessories
- Slickdeals people loved it at $300, so, you know, math
- Model: Botvac 65 (OK, aesthetically, this is an unimpeachable model number. But what’s weird is that, when Costco wanted a special Neato Botvac equivalent to the Botvac 80, Neato gave it a number lower than the inferior Botvac 70. What? Why not 81, or 85, or 80a? Or even 79, or 71? ANYTHING to say “This is a better model than the 70”?)
Which will run out first: these vacuums or Irk's breath?
Look, we’ve tried everything we can think of to sell the Neato Botvac 65. We’ve told you about how it uses laser to map out your rooms, making it more navigationally advanced than a Roomba, and a marvelous source for hacking laser-mapping parts. We’ve pointed out how it’s the same model as the Neato 80, just with a special model number for Costco. And, of course, we’ve hacked and slashed the price until it turns our stomach to look at.
And we’re still stuck with way too many of them. So we’re playing dirty. Our spokestroll Irk will hold his breath until we sell at least 100 of them:
If you want to enjoy robotically clean carpets at a reasonable price, the troll you save might be our own. But if Irk goes gasping to the great embedded video in the sky, on your heads be it.
