mPulse Rock Bluetooth On-Ear Headphones
- Bluetooth 4.0 headphones that look “cool” if your subjective conception of coolness aligns with ours
- Touch controls on the sides make changing the volume easy – maybe too easy (if you nudge them)
- “Smart voice for answering and refusing calls” seems like a fancy way of saying “has a mic”
- Fold up for traveling or acting as a makeshift ranged weapon
- Model: MPLROCKBLTWT, MPLROCKBLTLE, MPLROCKBLTLEG, MPLROCKBLTRD, MPLROCKBLTYL, MPLROCKBLTBK (These model numbers, like recent Spielberg films, are clearly the work of one who has mastered the craft. Yet, like “Bridge of Spies”, they’re just … boring.)
Yes, These Are Headphones
We recently sold these mPulse things that looked like headphones but were actually speakers.
Today we’re selling mPulse things that look like Bluetooth headphones and are … Bluetooth headphones. Confusing, we know.
Maybe your ears are sore from wearing those speakers on your head for the last few weeks. Maybe your ears are sore in another way — jealous of the phones and tablets you have been cradling in the speakers. In either case these headphones will provide welcome relief.
As far as Bluetooth headphones go, they are definitely Bluetooth headphones. And that’s about as much as you could ask at this price. They have few Amazon reviews, but one 4-star rater claims they’re fine except for the capacitative volume control buttons, which can be bumped accidentally. If that’s the worst part about Bluetooth headphones this cheap, we consider it a win.
You could keep wearing those mPulse speakers on your head if you want. Different strokes if it ain’t broke, right? But if you’re feeling an intense throbbing pain in the region near your ears, either physical or emotional, these actual headphones might be just the ticket.
Whatever you do, don’t use the speakers as shitty headphones and these headphones as a shitty speakers at the same time. That’s just silly.
