TPTB could have made an April @f00l’s joke out of getting the date wrong and doing it on March 31 or April 2 and that would not have been Fru Nite/Sat AM.
But it seems they don’t have that sharp or creative a sense of humor.
And they could have sent me a Fuko from the the April 1 event even tho I didn’t manage to snag one the old fashioned way.
@medz that would be a remarkable problem to have and even more remarkable to complain about. Like accidentally curing cancer and then complaining about the decline in chemotherapy.
@snapster So you are claiming you don’t have that problem? LOL Of course dollar store style items have long been a staple of fuko’s anyway and most morning save stuff is at least marginally more desirable than that - at least it costs more.
@Kidsandliz maybe it being confusing was funnier but I’m saying we have plenty of things we want to get rid of faster. To not have that problem would be a miracle. To not have that problem and then define that as a problem itself would be absurd.
@ACraigL heh right. That reminds me of a time at Woot after a failed VC funding pitch meeting, our CFO appropriately cut short my venting by saying “we’re not exactly curing cancer out here”
@snapster - I did think it was funny, my snark I guess missed the humor mark (grin). The heck with the cure for cancer though (besides my #3 one has no cure at this point anyway) could you please spend your excess profits developing a working Star Trek style tele-transporter machine? Then we can complain that meh stuff reaches us even before the time limit to cancel an order has expired…
If only there were an upcoming celebration of sorts that may be a perfect opportunity for such a thing.
@lichme
Clearly I need to ramp up wood jokes.
@PlacidPenguin That wood be nice

@PlacidPenguin @narfcake How weird. I swear I had a log earlier, but I must have dropped it somewhere.
@lichme @narfcake
Maybe @woodhouse has some ideas…

The fuku got killed off on May 20,2016 when the fuko officially took its place.
As for the next fuko, I can’t release specifics, but @lichme has a point.
All I’ll say is look at the names and dates carefully, then discard any assumptions.
Products on MorningSave are far better than the junk we put in Fukobukuros.
@shawn
And yet I’ll still complain if the fuko is on July 8th.
Still bitter about the April 4th being on a Saturday, especially since I’d have bought several things.
Although I’m mainly bitter that the Meh shirts from March didn’t even offer a combo of Navy in Men’s medium.

!!!After all, the day is named for me!!!
April Saint @F00l’s Day
But do I get any respect around here?
Any prizes?
Any public Dinosaur Kids’Parks next door to Warehouses-Being-Remodeled?
Poor me.

@f00l @shawn @dave @snapster
It’s fine.
I’ll just constantly remind them that there are other people here just like when they sell food or wine.
I get what you’re saying. Nothing left for fukos because they sell until all gone on sellout.meh.com. (morningsave)
@medz that would be a remarkable problem to have and even more remarkable to complain about. Like accidentally curing cancer and then complaining about the decline in chemotherapy.
@snapster This analogy is both brilliant and simultaneously compares your business model to a disease. All of which goes to say how much I like you.

@snapster
If there’s stuff you don’t want, I have an easy solution.
Pay me to take the stuff off your hands.
@snapster
Remember, you have a To-Do list.
No blaming others for these problems. Not fair.
@ChadP
Just a reminder about a fuko video.
@PlacidPenguin I’ll make a movie about making the fuko movie. It existed. It was honestly pretty good. But it’s gone now.
