The Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Day Cream in this set makes the following promise:

Smoother, firmer skin in 4 weeks

Wow, that’s great, right? Four weeks isn’t long! You could be looking young and spry in barely even a month!

Then again, there are no concrete guarantees in there. Smoother. Firmer. How do you really measure these things? Like, a piece of porcelain is smoother than sandpaper, and wet clay is not as firm as baked clay. (Is that the phrase? ‘Baked clay’? ‘Fired clay’? Anyway, you get it.) But when it comes to your skin, you can’t exactly keep a spreadsheet to track your metrics.

It’s like that with the other stuff in this set too. Each item claims a certain result–reduced circles around the eyes, fewer wrinkles–but the results can be difficult to measure.

In that way, it’s kind of like having chamomile tea before bed to fall asleep easier. Or making some chicken noodle soup when you’ve got a cold. Or drinking ginger ale to settle your tummy.

It might work. Or it might not.
