Let's talk to the animals!
7Have you ever had any experience with someone who communicates with animals? What about a psychic or medium, for humans or animals. Do you even believe?
I totally believe in that stuff and I’m planning on having this woman give our guy Tuc a reading in a few days. I’m super excited about it and can’t wait to hear what she says. Or hear what he’s saying thru her!
Supposedly, she actually able to tell you what your pet is thinking and feeling about things, you can even ask specific questions. I’ve got my list ready!
My niece has several horses and she had a reading done with one of them last year. This woman told her things that NOBODY could possibly know, no one besides the horse himself anyway!
Here’s just one example…
This woman told my niece how her horse Abbott really enjoyed seeing the chickens cross by the stone wall in front of his stall’s window every day. He thought they were entertaining!
This woman had NO WAY of knowing the scenery or the horses view! Not only has she never been to my nieces stables but she lives in another state altogether!
What can you tell me about your experiences…?

I’ve been accused of being semi-fluent in Cat.
WOW, I’m really surprised that out of ALL of the crazy people out here on Meh I’m the ONLY ONE crazy enough to admit they’re into this stuff.
Well, at least @werehatrack is brave enough to step up about speaking cat! And for THAT we love you!

Meow meow!
Sorry I just saw this. I am so excited and want to know how it went!
Btw, I talk to animals all the time. I have whole conversations w Charlie and my parents dog Buddy. I am sure they understand and I look at their body language for responses.
I communicate with my cats. They communicate back by purring, rubbing against me, etc.
Not been able to communicate on a deep spiritual level with them though
I’d love to know how my my big sweet cat ended up at the Humane Society at age 3 - such a well-mannered, handsome fellow; he was super shy when I met him but he’s a cuddler now. Who would give him up?! I’m not sure I want his honest opinion of me, though - he probably thinks I’m well-meaning but a goofy and a bit clueless (he meows and meows sometimes and I don’t know what he’s on about.)
@Kyeh He’s thanking you profusely for saving him from that crazy shelter!
@ircon96 Hah - I hope so! He definitely doesn’t want to get into cardboard boxes, despite the cliché about cats.
I talk to my dog all the time and he usually reacts more or less appropriately. However, since he is deaf he must be able to interpret human body language to some degree (he does know several ASL signs).
@macromeh Studies have shown that dogs are very attuned to human body language (e.g., they are one of the only non-primates that instinctively understand pointing) & emotions. Science has discovered that they focus on the areas of the face that most accurately express our moods (IIRC, they’re the only non-human animals to do that) & different areas of their brains are activated by our various emotions. They really are literally our best friends. I imagine that being deaf would only heighten these instincts in your furry buddy!

I figured it was easier to tag those who showed interest.
I’m so happy I came back to check out my post because I wasn’t getting notifications for it and no one showed interest when I first posted it.
Friday was the reading and I’ve been processing it, lots of info in the 50 minutes of conversation.
My first thought after hearing that she doesn’t usually “do cats” and after she asked me what type of food he ate along with his breed, and if he was on any supplements was that she’s going to give me generalized information based on what I just told her. While I truly believe in this stuff I was becoming more sceptical of her. From this point on she was going to have to really blow my mind to impress me. The woman’s name is Molly and she speaks like she is my cat Tuc so that’s why I’ll sometimes say she/he.
This is what she said, he’s got something going on with his mouth but it’s not his teeth and he isn’t ill or in pain. He’s itchy, he’s got itchy left gums. He’s also constipated and he knows he’s got to drink more water. She spoke about him having pain in his lower stomach due to being constipated and olive oil would be helpful. I’ve been having severe dry skin issues and I finally told her I think that’s ME you’re talking about. I said it’s been worse since we got the air purifier running 24/7 so maybe it’s affecting him too. Same thing with the constipation, I’m on meds that cause it.
I know that’s not contagious. Lol
He could have liked the massage of rubbing it in, or liked the fact that we got rid of his fleas! She was saying that Tuc had been having a upset stomach which was correct, he’d been throwing up just a few days ago. And then she kept going back to him being itchy and I thought to myself that she was picking up MY energy more than Tuc’s! When I laughingly mentioned that to her she said Tuc mimics me! I thought, she’s not wrong!
Up until this point I hadn’t mentioned anything about my guy living with us and she hadn’t mentioned anything about him either. He’s a HUGE part of Tuc’s life, more important than me since he feeds him! She never asked how many people were here and I wasn’t offering any info. I wanted to know why Tuc is so vocal with him and not so much with me? Tuc said what are you talking about I talk with her all the time! Molly said that my guy NEEDS to physically hear him and I don’t. She kinda hit the nail on the head with that one but I’m thinking that’s just knowing the difference between men and women. Lol
I wanted to know if Tuc was okay with us going away for a few days, it’s local and one of us could come back to check on him. Of course she said he’d be fine and he’ll probably just sleep thru it. She said he was laughing and that he’s got a sense of humor. She said he likes to play games with us in the early morning hours and he doesn’t want to be awake without us being awake too. That’s why he wakes us up. He also likes the lights dim in the house and sometimes they’re too bright. That’s more like me, it’s always been a thing because bright lights give me headaches but my guy likes to be able to see. Lately they’ve been dim so that could be something. But again, I think she’s picking up MY energy.
She also said Tuc is concerned about my health and that I need to move around more. I laughed at the moving around part, he couldn’t be more right about that!
And, I already knew he was concerned about me, a few weeks ago he was watching me puke (side effects of my meds) and you should have seen his face. The poor guy was so empathetic.

A lot of the questions I had written down she answered just before I was going to ask. At this point THAT impressed me more than anything else she had said. She was going on about how he loved it when I massaged in-between his shoulders and I had to tell her that I don’t do that. The only thing he gets there is his flea treatment and he’s only needed that 2 times in his 6 years of life. I’m just thinking now that maybe that’s what he/she’s talking about. Hmmm
Lastly, about us going away for a few days… She kept asking about a very skinny, fair skinned, taller woman. I really had no idea who she was talking about. She said Tuc would be happy to have HER come to check in on him. I suggested it be my niece since she was here last week but she wasn’t feeling it was her. She again said she was very skinny and quickly said in a lower voice “almost too skinny”. When I heard that I thought Oh, she must be talking about my anorexic neighbor across the hall! After I described her Molly got all excited and said YES that’s her! So THAT was something that made everything seem a little more believable. I mean how would she know THAT?
So, as far as I’m concerned everything else could have been random cat knowledge and I definitely think she was in tune to my energy, maybe Tuc does mimic me, who knows…
She was definitely picking up on something/someone, her demeanor changed once she got into it and was speaking for Tuc.
She’s the first one of her kind that I ever dealt with. I’m not sure if I’d recommend her but I’m most definitely STILL a believer!
I don’t know if you would call me a “believer” in psychics, but I firmly believe there are things out there that we don’t understand or are beyond our understanding. I’m also convinced that cats and dogs (and larger mammals at least) are sentient beings with much more depth of understanding and conscious thought than we maybe realize.
Congrats on taking the leap and getting some answers to questions you have. Sham or shamen, she gave you something you were searching for and that’s a good thing.
