So again, I did the math
0Caveats: I am not staying up and it’s possible they may add some cheap things in the remaining ~3 deals that would change this math. It’s also plausible that I could have missed a deal.
But if you wanted to get the full possible money back today (22), you would need to spend 109.99 plus taxes and shipping if needed.
The most cost effective way to do so:
item amount

Do better, Meh. You’ve gotten greedy even for you. Sell this shit to Amazon and reboot again so we get actual deals.

Sometimes I think Meh puts their crap in IRKs because it’s cheaper to ship trash to paying customers than it is to pay for trash hauling.
@ItalianScallion at our cultural institutions, we always use outdated technology (we’re moving to 2020 PCs this year from the 2010~2015 PCs).
When we have to retire the equipment, we pay an eWaste recycling agent by weight (plus any security fees if we’re asking them to erase our storage drives). Chances are they are a middleman who sells the scrap to other countries with cheap labor to extract the valuable metals (copper, gold, platinum).
We open the trash bins to anyone who wants to upcycle and gradually the pile gets smaller (like a Great Escape situation, the gravel gets removed a little at a time).
TL;DR
It is always cheaper to do a grassroots trash removal simply because you have more people to move things around. It’s like the deacon locking up his congregation until everyone pitched in $2 to repair the steeple.
@pakopako And in this case, Mehtizens not only partly paid for the crap, but also partly paid for the shipping to get it. Well played, Meh, well played.
