7 Years Of Internet: A Meh-rathon
R.I.P. Harambe.
Honestly, the sad death of the Cincinnati Zoo gorilla in 2016 should probably have just been a bummer of a headline, but Harambe somehow became the martyred saint of the internet in 2016.
In retrospect, historians of the future may choose the event as the global flashpoint when all of modern humanity descended into the unprecedented absurdity which arguably continues to this day. Strange times.
