- Nothing could be as awesome as that sounds
- But they’re still pretty fun
Robots are awesome! And boring.
We admit it. We expected to be surrounded by really cool robots by now. Invincible robot gladiators. Infallible robot judges. Dapper robot butlers with British accents. Even loyal, ever-playful robot puppies.
Then we realize we are surrounded by robots. They’re just not much fun. We’re not talking only about Roombas. If by “robot” we mean “a complex machine that semi-autonomously carries out tasks previously performed by human labor”, then everything from your dishwasher to your calendar app qualifies. Self-driving cars seems futuristic now, but they’ll be boring someday too.
If you absolutely must see robots flying around shooting lasers at each other - and we must, we must - this is as close as you’re going to come. These RC Battle Robots are basically just anthropomorphic helicopters that can play laser tag. HELL YEAH ROBOTS!
