Okay, so we have to create our own poll thread again. You’re getting less fun, Meh.
Electric screewdriver Electric toothbrush Electric knife Electric sheep Something else (comments, please)
(Haha - “screewdriver”)
And I say Electric Heated Mattress Pads
@Kyeh True. Old mattress pads heated with hot coals were lumpy and the asbestos linings were a health hazard.
@Kyeh @rockblossom But asbestos is 100% natural!!
@Kyeh @rockblossom @yakkoTDI Like arsenic!!
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh @rockblossom @yakkoTDI And Cyanide!
An electric eel, because regular eel encounters were too boring.
@rockblossom OMG that is so very True!
@mycya4me @rockblossom We just play with electric eels for the shock value.

@ybmuG Sorry, I like the manual version better.
Hammer. Glad these are now available at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Corkys-Electric-Hammer/dp/B07GDHLJ31
A calculator because carrying around an abacus was too hard
@Cerridwyn This seems like the same answer as ‘electric slide’.
@fibrs86 only if you add the word ruler after it
And yeah, I learned how to use one of those, don’t have any clue anymore, that was more than half a century ago
I have a manual drill somewhere in the garage. Its only purpose is to serve as a conversation piece.
/image manual hand drill 12
@narfcake I had one of these that was my grandfather’s. I used it to bore holes in sugar maples back when I did maple sugaring.
@ItalianScallion @narfcake I have one I inherited from my father; also I have a hand egg beater.
@Kyeh @narfcake I had one of those egg beaters for years. It worked really well!
@narfcake If you were an electrician before the days of battery powered drills, you had one of these. Also bits with square tapered shanks.
Don’t know about electric sheeps or their dreams, but the electric horses in some new cars seem pretty impressive.
KuoH
@kuoh But that is where the movie “Blade Runner” came from!
@mycya4me And we’re rapidly approaching a time when Rachel might actually be a replicant and like Deckard, most men probably won’t care either way.
@kuoh
/showme a cat playing with a electric sheep!
@mycya4me Is the cat hypnotizing the sheep or the other way around?
@kuoh @mycya4me I think the sheep is hypnotizing the cat.
@kuoh @mycya4me @yakkoTDI nah. Just casually stealing its soul than trying to replace it like the owner won’t notice. That’s how you know it’s AI.
I read that typo as ‘electric screw-you driver’.
@PooltoyWolf Your dad and grandad would probably say you’re not wrong.
Lighting, heating, hot water, stoves, washing machines, irons, food storage, transportation…
I’ve gotten to experience most of those on vacations or for novelty, and they were fun (to me). But if you HAVE to do it every day, even if you’re not feeling well or the weather sucks, that’s a different story. Great respect to our forebears.
WinAmp!
@KNmeh7 I still use WinAmp and that version as well.
@KNmeh7 @yakkoTDI “It really whips the llama’s ass.”
Electric Guitar
Is an electric screwdriver made with electric orange juice or electric vodka or both?
@werehatrack Both, and served in an electrically-cooled glass. Yes, I saw that project on (I think) Kickstarter.
