Pure Power

Back when we were selling powerbanks with much more regularity, there seemed to be two kinds:

  1. Tiny ones that would give your iPhone about a quarter charge, aka nothing serious, but maybe enough juice so you could keep gaming and/or listening to a podcast for the whole bus ride home.

Or…

  1. Enormous ones that looked like a car battery and also maybe could power a car battery.

But now, there are these on the market.

Sure, at a little over a pound, it’s not as small as the powerbank that can fit inside a wallet. And at 25,600mAh, it might not have the same capacity as one of the jump-starter/mini-generator types. But, that’s still a lot of power to pack–like multiple full charges worth of power–in a relatively small package.

Which means maybe it’s time to clean out your powerbank drawer, like @AggravatingCat:

I’m going to throw all my dinky, no good, baby portable chargers out the window when this thing arrives. Thor has spoken.

Or maybe you should get this and use it with your Steam Deck, an idea pitched by @The_Tim:

I feel like this would be a pretty killer accessory for the Steam Deck.

And confirmed by @TheNewGuyHere:

I have this for my steam deck - it works perfect - I paid 110 refurb on Amazon so this is a good deal

Or maybe the mAh isn’t the number that caught your eye, as was the case for @kostia:

I have so many of these. But this one has two USB-C ports. But I have so many, including the last one from meh, which has a wireless charger on it. But this one has two USB-C ports.

Whatever the reason, having something that packs a hefty charge and doesn’t weigh you down is never a bad investment. So get one!
