First, we want to tell you that the best-by date on this stuff is November 2024.

We start with this because, usually, when we sell snacks, we have to provide a reminder that best-by dates are not expiration dates, and even if you don’t end up eating everything before it comes to pass, that doesn’t mean you have to throw away what’s left.

But November? That’s plenty of time to eat 8 bags of beef jerky.

In fact, that’s enough time to eat 4 bags of beef jerky, get tired of eating beef jerky, take a break from eating beef jerky, and then remember, Oh, that’s right, I’ve got 4 more bags of beef jerky I can eat.

Now, as for what makes this jerky special? Well, it purports to have a cleaner ingredient list than many of its competitors. We say ‘purports’ there because, as is always the case with these things, corners will have to be cut for the purposes of mass production. In other words, it’s not the same as some jerky you made yourself, fresh out of your dehydrator. Still, it’s probably better for you than a lot of gas station garbage.

With all that being said, the truth is, it doesn’t matter. Not when you buy it from us, at least. Or, it matters a lot less.

Maybe you want to ensure this is the best jerky on the market–and it is, according to Amazon reviewers, very good–if you’re paying 20 bucks for 3 bags. But at 8 bags for $24, having it be pretty good or better is great.
