My aunt is a badass! My dog is a dumbass!
11Boeing project my aunt has been heading for the last six years
It’s SO cool! She really is an amazing human being though it boggles my mind that we’re even remotely in the same space from an intelligence perspective.

And on to my wonderful young dumb dog Bodhi. He just got out of surgery, it’s been an intensely stressful 48 hours. They weren’t sure what was going on and after his very and two different emergency vet visits, he’s out of surgery and they have hopefully solved the problem. Just be careful if you ever buy your super chewer the chew king indestructible balls. They aren’t indestructible and I now know why I couldn’t find the ball. He managed to break it apart and eat two rather large pieces, and we now have some rather large bills because of it. He’s not 100 percent out of the woods but things look more positive than negative. Now I’m going to take a gummy and PTFO for about the next 12 hours!

And I apologize. I am unable to edit typos and grammar at this point. Also I am le tired so, stuff it!

So glad to hear Bohdi is headed ‘out of the woods’. I know this has been a super stressful time for you and your fur baby. Get some rest.
And yes, your aunt sounds pretty amazing. That project rocks.
@chienfou thank you. It really has been such an emotional time for us all. Especially my middle. They have a very special bond. I broke down in tears at the table when she came home from school Friday because she was calling for him as she came up the driveway because she didn’t know what had happened. We’re all going to see him later today and hopefully he gets to come home tomorrow if all is well. He really is Captain chaos, but he’s a sweet and wonderful dog.
Thankfully he has bounced back really well. We have to go back later this week to remove a fentanyl patch and redraw bloodwork, but they’re really happy with how well he did. So we just picked him up and are heading home to some very anxious but happy not so tiny anymore humans.
So happy to hear he is doing well. Extra love from Charlie and me.
@tinamarie1974 thanks Tina! I love him and it’s a good thing that I do.
Stop being cute right now
/giphy “adorable pup”

BTW. My son works for a company that was helping design some software to help facilitate in flight refueling.
Small world…
@chienfou

@chienfou It would be funny if they know one another!
I guess it actually wouldn’t be all that surprising. It’s a somewhat specialized area.
CC and Snickers and I wish Bohdi a complete recovery!
unrelated: my friend wants to know more about those fentanyl patches
@therealjrn it was kind of shocking when they brought him out and it was on. I mean I know that it was created for that purpose but it got famous for the more nefarious reasons. We were told not to handle it under any circumstances. I’m bringing him in tomorrow to have it removed but had to put new tape as he managed to rip the bandage with the staples off during dinner time. I took the cone off so he could eat and he ripped off the patch before I could get to him. We also need to discuss the drugs they’ve prescribed for him. They were fine Sunday and yesterday but today has just been beyond frustrating. He regained his appetite and everything seems to be functioning except for the “make me drowsy” meds. Even with one extra dose, he managed to run and attempt to clear the couch, which is a huge no no right now. He’s going to break himself again. Captain chaos couldn’t describe this dog more perfectly. I wish I had a fraction of the energy this dog does.
@sillyheathen @therealjrn
You definitely DO NOT want him to eat one of those patches. That would likely be a sure recipe for an OD
Butter wouldn’t melt!
@sillyheathen He looks so cute there!
Glad its working out and stress easing.
Any strangers been hanging around?
Chinese connection?
fentanyl and new technology to steal
@phendrick the stress will definitely ease if we can get him the correct calm down meds. He’s used to being run most of the day so this is a strange concept for him. I call him the bully in the china shop because he’s a million miles and hour all the time. He and I both suffer from this. I just think his metabolism is so fast that it chews through the meds faster than they can keep him regulated.
@phendrick
What a delightful word play
@phendrick @therealjrn
yes. I’m ridiculous. It is known. I just love the puns and playing on words and being silly in general.
That sounds like a Blame for the June goat!
@mycya4me hahahaha I mean he does it pretty much anything.
Checking in for an update… how’s our patient doing?
@chienfou he’s doing better but he’s not impressed with his meds or the blow up collar. He thinks he’s better and he’s not so we’re having to drug him more than normal. The vet couldn’t believe how crazy he was on the prescribed dosage.
@sillyheathen glad to hear that he’s doing better. Remember… this too shall pass! (Even if the original offending chew toy didn’t!!
)
@chienfou oh I’ve already built a frame for it.

@sillyheathen

I love it!
