I liked wrestling when I was a kid, but I haven’t watched it in a long time. I’ll admit, I just never understood the appeal as an adult, knowing it’s all scripted. But then someone explained it to me: the scripted aspect is actually the thing people love! It’s like a soap opera, with bigger biceps!
And now, with these TeenyMates, you can do what you’ve always wanted: act out your own wrestling storylines, the ones they’re too afraid to tell on TV. Sounds fun, right? But it can also be daunting if you’re not a trained storyteller like me. That’s right: while I may not know anything about modern wrestling, I do know how to spin a yarn.
Thus, I’ve put together a few scenarios that you can act out with your wrestling figurines–a few starter-stories, if you will, to get the creative juices flowing. Check it:
Gold Standard
TeenyMates required: The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Metallic Gold Rock
Brock Lesnar presents the Rock with a solid gold statue of himself. The Rock doesn’t think he’s gotten the cheeks right, to which Brock Lesnar replies that the cheeks are perfect, and that maybe The Rock should take a look in the mirror. The Rock does. He’s disappointed to see what has happened to his cheeks over time. His once youthful face now appears round and aged. A tear comes to The Rock’s eye. Brock Lesnar tries to wipe it away, which The Rock misinterprets as an attempt to slap him across the face. A FIGHT ENSUES!
Hella Bellas
TeenyMates required: Brie Bella, Nikki Bella
Brie Bella and Nikki Bella get hella angry while arguing over who gets the umbrella, walking the rainy streets of Pella, Iowa. A FIGHT ENSUES!
The Kingston Affair
TeenyMates Required: Kofi Kingston x 2 (yes, there will likely be repeats)
Kofi Kingston is waiting to hear his grandfather’s will reading. He expects to inherit everything: the seaside manor in Maine, the six race horses in Kentucky, and the apple orchards in Vermont. Yet who should arrive but a man who looks exactly like him, his long lost twin, Kodi Kingston. A FIGHT ENSUES!
Face Off
TeenyMates Required: Big Show, Undertaker, Seth Rollins, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bray Wyatt
Big Show, Undertaker, Seth Rollins, and Stone Cold are having a great time at the facial hair conference. They’ve attended many interesting panel discussions–such as “The Stubble Stage” and “The Right Goatee Style For Your Chin Shape”–and they’ve collected autographs from a variety of bearded celebrities. Then they run into Bray Wyatt, who they haven’t seen in five years, since… the incident. A FIGHT ENSUES!
