Card rock: Shoddy Goods 029
3I never got into trading cards of any kind, sports, music or otherwise. In fact, I’m not very much into collectibles of any kind - it feels like there’s just a certain kind of brain that needs that. How about you?
Were you a big baseball card trader? Maybe Pokemon cards are more your collectible?

Pokemon cards. OH LORD, POKEMON WAS OUR CHILDHOOD, and now my two younger siblings will get to experience it too. It is good to be the oldest sibling. Most of the time.
Knives from Meh [and TBH knives, machetes, swords, and axes from elsewhere]
That is all…
I have this entire, complete MusiCards set. AND the UK equivalent! Not assembled in 1991, but in 2021 from new old stock boxes on eBay. A surprisingly cheap way to pass the time four years ago.
Never collected baseball cards, and I had no idea that music cards even existed. But, I did collect Garbage Pail Kids cards!
RE: Brockum tags on t-shirts. I have a nice collection of vintage t-shirts. Many of which have the old “Brockum Collection” or “Brockum Worldwide” tags.

My favorite:
kPop bands have trading cards currently
Magic: the Gathering is my expensive cardboard of choice. I didn’t get into it in the 90’s when the kids were playing during home room in middle school- I got into it about a decade ago. I remember watching them play though. Who knew they were pushing cards over scuffed tables and rubber banding decks that would be worth thousands in 15 years.
I’ve never been a trading card person but I definitely have my share of knicknacks, mostly mementos from trips and such. I definitely know people that get their dopamine hit from pokemon cards though
Just wanted to give kudos for mentioning both Dread Zeppelin and the Sisters of Mercy in one post.
Pretty big car fanatic. I own two classic cars irl. I will admit I have a modest collection of 1/18 scale classic cars. Which I have no place to showcase.
I had a bunch of MusiCards for some reason! I remember acquiring them at SeaWorld Ohio (also defunct) around 1997 and I don’t know why. I had no idea who any of the artists were but I kind of remember thinking I’d keep them around until I was older and had acquired an appreciation for Ratt or something.
Got to get them all… Sure it starts because they look cool, or your friends are all doing it, or maybe there’s money to be had. Then you get emotional. You have to fill in all the puzzle pieces… Got to get them all…
