Never Outta Outlets

Just the other day, we sold a product that was three charging pads in one. A single plug, three spaces for charging your stuff. And then there are all the power banks we’ve had on here that essentially provide a charge anywhere to multiple devices.

Meanwhile, with just one device, such as a Roku or a Fire TV Stick, you can have access to more television and movies than you’d ever be able to watch. Or maybe your television comes with this technology built-in. And even if you wanted to run your sound through external speakers, there’s a chance these are chargeable and bluetooth, meaning they don’t need to be plugged into anything.

What we’re getting at is that your outlets should be less crowded than ever these days.

Which means: you should need fewer of these things now than ever before.

And yet, there’s always something.

You get a game system and an inclination to start watching the local news every morning, resulting in your purchase of a digital antenna, and now things are starting to get a bit cramped behind your TV. Or you buy a printer for your home office, and all of a sudden, it’s constant outlet triage between your laptop, your bluetooth speaker, and your aforementioned three-spot charging pad.

There could also just be a layout issue. Even in a newly built home that’s apparently optimized for convenient living, you occasionally find that the only good place for your favorite recliner and reading lamp is in this corner, and the only place for the TV is along that wall, and there’s just one outlet between them.

And then, don’t get us started on power surges! Those pesky things!

Okay, can we level with you all? We’re running out of steam here. Everything we said is true and provides a compelling-ish reason to purchase these. But, like, C’mon. Who cares?

It’s a two-pack of surge protectors. They’re totally good, totally simple. Bunch of outlets on each one, plus a couple USB-A ports, and a USB-C. In other words, there’s just not much to it.

If you need some surge protectors, get them. If you don’t, don’t.
