@ruouttaurmind I believe you are correct. I don't think I have ever even noticed the background zombies, or at least not taken them for more than they are, ambience. Or is that Zombience?
@Cinoclav Well, kudos, @matthew / Irk! You're funny, witty, clever and in need of absolutely no moderation whatsoever. :)
P.S. - In defense of the B-Team zombies, my friend and I auditioned for the role of extra zombies in a local movie and it is genuinely HARD to act/walk like a varsity undead, grotesque zombie. It takes a lot of practice. But still, you're right - I expect more from a show that's all about zombies.
there was one episode where I noticed a zombie had a shit stain soaking through her skirt. that's realism right there. or, the extra needed a break and didn't get one.
Irk, I tend to notice those mise-en-scène aspects all the time. Then my wife accuses me of falling somewhere on the autism spectrum (a study was done once to determine to where an autistic viewer's attention was drawn when viewing various images/films. The background was usually the target for participants). Keep on being you, Irk.
@ChadP This, mostly. The bulk of the hordes are CGI, but there are typically a bunch of real actors nearest to the scene. The background walkers are digital. I have noticed quite a few scenes though, including the latest episode where the stunts are a bit off. It's often where Michonne is swinging her sword and you can see she's a good distance away from her target. As she's actually using a shortened version of the sword with the length being added digitally, she should be able to get pretty close. However, sometimes it looks like she's far enough away that if she was swinging a real sword she'd still miss by a few feet, yet those heads go flying.
Zombies bore me. I feel like Hollywood has turned to all this zombie crap because they're easy and cheap to create. And they're gory. I don't find gory scary, it's been over done.
I believe it's entirely possible Irk has placed a bit too much thought into the subject of zombie extras appearing in The Walking Dead...

How many gourds could a zombie horde hoard, if a zombie horde got bored and decided to hoard gourds?
@darksaber99999 four gourds by my score.
@JonT more more hoard gourds, for shore.
"B-Team Zombies"!! Oh, how I love you, Irk!
And yes, the mid-season phenomenon IS bullshit.
Just out of curiosity, does the guy that voices Irk also write Irk's copy? Or does some other clever-witted Meh-Employee write it?
@pepsiwine Zom-Bs.
@pepsiwine The talented @JasonToon does all the writeups.
@pepsiwine @dashcloud I know he does the product writeups for each day, but I'm not so sure that he does the script for Irk's videos.
@pepsiwine Far as I know, it's 100% @matthew.

I'm gonna go with yeah it bothers you more than it should on this one.
Thank you Irk and @matthew for not dropping spoilers into this video (funny as that might have been).
They have a Zombies-themed shirt/tote over on the big 'W' right now! Oh wait, it's gone.

Lately, in most cases, the zombie hordes are digitally done. Maybe that's the difference you are seeing.

@Cinoclav Now I've gotta re watch it. I had no idea this was going on.
Just wondering if @matthew is going to come back as a zombie after Glen's little incident yesterday. Somehow I see these two videos being connected...
I've tried really hard to get into The Walking Dead, but it just doesn't work for me. Better Call Saul - so far, so good.
