@sillyheathen Exactly! They each have a use case for which the other is just not suitable. (And that reminds me, I need to get a new supersoaker in the spring.)
A few years back I was driving through a neighborhood full of kids, so going rather slowly. There were a bunch of 6-8 year olds with supersoakers shooting each other. As I passed that house, on the far side of the house, I saw a 3-4 year old with a face like thunder. Determined thunder. He was dragging a garden hose to the front.
What, I’m not supposed to tell stories here? Tough.
@Chakolate@Kyeh
/showme a small child dragging a hose around a house to spray a bunch of 8-year-olds who are shooting each other with super soaker squirt guns
/showme a small determined child dragging a hose around a house and spraying water at a bunch of 8-year-olds who are shooting each other with super soaker squirt guns
Let’s be honest. The only “fun ones” that are going to happen above a certain latitude in the US during the holidays. Is NERF. In the basement where they send the kids to watch a movie/play/set up toys.
Ammo is not a concern if using common ammo. Or even mixed if mixed on both teams.
If you are bringing a nerf rival to a 12 year olds nerf dart fight. Yes. You are a bad, bad person.
If you are bringing your 1990s goodwill nerf blaster. You will need an upgrade. But the polite thing to do is equip the kids appropriately. Assuming gunplay is approved. We used to get those cool “laser” vests/guns in the 90 from goodwill too lol .
Otherwise adults play up and down the river(kinda like rook). Take tricks but without a parter. Dutch splits. Hard to get time for cattan or risk these days. Learn some other board game. Involving sushi or camels or trains. Or knowledge.
Nerf.
a DiHydrogen, MonoOxide Gun (as you have a "UnLimited Supply) as you don’t need to look for or lose your Nerf Gun “bullets”
@mycya4me That’s a technical version of what I came to say.
OTOH, Nerf prevail for living room use.
@phendrick But you loose the “bullets” H2O dries.
@mycya4me @phendrick
It may dry but it’s not going to make Mom happy!
@chienfou @phendrick Sometime it is better to ask for Forgiveness later!
Water guns would’ve been the clear winner if the pressure style Super Soakers were still a thing
@sleuth Like the CPS 2000 super soaker?
@Mehlachi @sleuth That’s a good start.
Machine guns.
/showme real cats using water gun in a turf war against other cats
@mediocrebot
The guy front left looks almost just like Bandit!
Both!
@sillyheathen Exactly! They each have a use case for which the other is just not suitable. (And that reminds me, I need to get a new supersoaker in the spring.)
Good old fashioned potato cannon is the best
@Mehlachi I like tennis ball cannons.
@duodec @Mehlachi
That’s gonna leave a mark…
Real
For pure play, nerf. For play that can turn serious, H2O.
Nerf, so you can have wars inside the home.
@milstarr That’s what I was going to say. Sometimes you just need to have a good indoor shootin’ match!
I prefer Glocks. (yes, plural
)
@macromeh
ಠ_ಠ
@macromeh Not SIG P320s?
