Mine is muted roughly 75% of the time. Largely so I can play warlight at work.

Headphones for VoIP and speakers for the rest. I like having people I'm talking to slightly isolated from game noises.

used to only use my speakers, then I built a new computer and have been too lazy to actually get speakers so it's been 80% silence and 20% headphones.
but now I have no excuse to NOT get these speakers..dammit meh

At home, 100% headphones. At work, 95% headphones, 5% speakers. (that 5% is when everyone else goes home and I have the office to myself... At home, my wife is always around and has super-hearing, so I can't use speakers at all.)
