1x Cobra Drive Hd Dual View Dash Cam With Iradar App
@Larry1977 Either on your front or rear window depending on what you want to capture. Installing on the rear window will require running the wire behind your A-Pillar trim and beneath the headliner (at least if you want a clean install… but duct tape works fine too)
@f00l yes we can be AHs! Then again, when every sports announcer is talking $hit about your team for every game and rooting for the other team, are you shocked that we turn into AHs?
I’ve been debating a dash cam.
With an IRK-related coupon to “burn” I’m giving this one a shot.
Maybe I should use showme but… Old school!

Was going to pull the trigger, but then I saw that the splitter cable that allows you to connect the second camera is very short (like 18") and has two huge connectors at the end, so you can’t run the cable down to a hidden area to connect the second camera, you have to try to hide those big connectors up in the trim of your car. Also, 1080P is OK for getting make/model of a car, but you might miss license plate numbers at that resolution. The rear camera also seems to be useless at night, just capturing headlight shapes in a dark field. My hunt continues.
I’m just gonna put this here, having a dash cam of any type is going to be better than nothing at all. It will save you SO much money in a no witnesses accident.
I have had a VIOFO front and rear hardwired cams for over two years now. Haven’t needed to use it for insurance or an accident, but it’s like a fire extinguisher in that respect. Captured a bald eagle, a few camo test vehicles from Honda, people acting the fool, and countless dipshit driving events.
My favorite use was after I had given my friends a ride a few days earlier, they disagreed on if he said this or that. I was staying out of it, then I said “you know that advertising campaign where they check instant replay of real life?” “Surely that video is still on the card, I haven’t driven that much, I can pull it up and settle this.”
We did. She was right. He was wrong. I am to never do that again
I’m moving out of state on February 1st, so anything I order today would need to be received by Friday the 31st. Is anyone able to confirm whether or not I should receive this by then? I’m not sure who to ping.
@wd5gnr so after finally finding a copy that would load, it appears that it doesn’t work with this camera anyway since it uses Wi-Fi not Bluetooth and the earlier app wasn’t made for this one either. So it looks like the only thing the app does for you is it sends GPS data from your phone to the camera and that’s it. If you want to download pictures or video you have to physically pull it off or pull the card out and take it to a computer or an HDMI monitor at least. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it seems like a wasted opportunity that you can’t Bluetooth the files over. Although I guess Bluetooth is pretty slow to be shipping video but still…
@wd5gnr noticed the same thing. I tried all of the Cobra apps and noticed the same reaction with the iRadar app, which keeps telling me to upload to the newer Drive Smarter app every time its launched. Glad i bought the refurb version and didnt spend a fortune on it.

No really good examples how or where the rear cam is installed

May be a decent product for all I know.
But …
Fuck OSU.
Not because they beat ND
Yes because they’re self-selected AHs.
@f00l

You left out …
They’re BETTER than all the rest!!
@f00l yes we can be AHs! Then again, when every sports announcer is talking $hit about your team for every game and rooting for the other team, are you shocked that we turn into AHs?
@f00l @seraphimcaduto lol. Kirk Herbstreit doesn’t exist and get tons of airtime? Okayyyyyyyy

@ArmchairGamer I have had mine for a few months and it’s been great.
@ArmchairGamer haven’t gotten to play with this in a while

Got this before. It’s decent but I’d prefer something with higher resolution.
With the rear camera connected, the front res is limited to 1080

@lhospent The 18" cable is if you want to attach it in the front, but it includes a 157" (9.81FT) cable for mounting it in the back of the car
Does this give THEM another pair of eyes to spy on the world?

@crash19285 So, a crash cam?
Those were some five-star puns, to be sure.

@atravis6 Based on transit times of your previous orders, I’d say it’s pretty likely.
I assume this doesn’t have gps, and need app connection for that?
Has anyone gotten this things to work?
Mine works but I can’t get it to connect bt to the drive smarter app. it will connect to iradar but that doesnt read the camera afaik
@wd5gnr And the DriveHD app won’t load on modern Android…
