@Pony My wife smears banana on bread and peanut butter on more bread and makes a sandwich. I tried a bite. It was… well… horrifyingly bad. But I star you for her
I like bananas in pretty much all applications except the smoothie. The bananas overpower anything else in the smoothie! It’s like strawberry and BANANAAAAAAAAGH
Not mentioned :
~chopped up in yogurt. I buy plain greek yogurt and add my own fruit(s) . Banana is always included. Well half of one.
~on top of any kind of cereal, including oatmeal.
~ sliced long ways and stuffed w/ PB ( optional top w/ oats or muesli )
~ fresh banana milk shake.
~Oatmeal whole wheat banana dark chocolate cookies.
( my own invented recipe and damn good)
~banana blueberry muffins
~banana pancakes. ( much better than bacon pancakes )
Basically bananas are quite versatile. I pretty much like all the ways mentioned.
Pre-workout smoothie (@cpierce: you must be using weak strawberries), sliced on Cheerios w/ milk, on the bottom of a banana split, blended in a homemade milkshake (yay @ceagee! Recipe at least 40yrs old: 2c vanilla ice cream, 1c milk, 1 whole peeled banana, 2 graham cracker. Blend until smooth. Yumm!)
A tip: If the bananas are to the ripeness you like but you have too many to eat, put them in the refrigerator. The peel turns brown and looks ugly, but the banana keeps for several more days as you put it in.
Monkey style.
Banana pudding!!
SEDUCTIVELY
@brumagem Vids or it didn’t happen.
Edit: never mind, I see that @carl669 has it covered.
But not the green ones from the store.
You have to carefully age them until they have enough freckles to indicate optimum sweetness.
Shouldn’t it be “in” a banana split? I mean, if you put a banana on a banana split, that’s way too much banana on banana action.
Used to be sliced on Rice Krispies with ice cold milk and lots of sugar until milk and dairy started becoming disagreeable… so just plain banana now.
seriously? banana eating? are you just asking @mfladd and @jaremelz to take over this thread?
fine. i’ll start it off.
@carl669
@mfladd has been good lately, my brain hurts less that way.
@carl669 if you are looking for terrible banana gifs I think this qualifies. I mean that’s cheese
@metageist and then there’s this:
@metageist *pasteurized process cheese food
@carl669
@jaremelz
@carl669 hahahaha… I didn’t even see your comment before posting my vid last night. I am little disconcerted about being that predictable though.
The last time I ate a banana, was over a decade ago easily.
Yonanas
Banana bread?!
My kids like them frozen
@katbyter They are good frozen 2 ways:
@katbyter @ceagee There’s always money in the banana stand!
@jqubed

I eat them dipped in melted peanut butter. Yum.
@Pony My wife smears banana on bread and peanut butter on more bread and makes a sandwich. I tried a bite. It was… well… horrifyingly bad. But I star you for her
@duodec Smears?! I always slice bananas for sandwiches, not smush and spread them!
@duodec @jqubed I’m a fan of PB & this stuff on a 'wich:
@brhfl Ha! of course this had to be you. I recognized the McCutcheon’s brand immediately and knew it was someone local to me.
@mfladd Nice, was wondering if you’d recognize it. McCutcheon’s is right behind my train station.
@brhfl yup, one of the farm stands on RT 50 has all of their stuff (and it’s a lot of stuff).
on my rice krispies or corn flakes, lots of sugar. mmmm
I rip bananas in half because I always smoosh them if I try to peel them from the top.
@ianrbuck But don’t you smoosh them anyway after you put them in your mouth?
Does it still count as eating them straight if my banana curves to the right?
What if it curves to the left?
@jbartus Is that a banana in your pocket?
@2many2no no comment.
@jbartus It actually doesn’t count as eating them at all unless you’re either double jointed or uh, very gifted.
Peanut butter, brown sugar & banana sandwich.
This your fault meh.
@mfladd
@jaremelz
Where is the “hands-free” option, or the “with a hand pushing the back of my head” option?
You know - “for the ladies”.
I like bananas in pretty much all applications except the smoothie. The bananas overpower anything else in the smoothie! It’s like strawberry and BANANAAAAAAAAGH
@cpierce Odd, my experience has been the complete opposite… great thickener because they’re so neutral in flavor.

@narfcake Whoa. I believe that’s a pretty old design

Bananas fear… ‘Nanner Puddin’…
Love them nanners.
In a muffin with walnuts and chocolate chips.
Dipped in crunchy chocolate shell, rolled in chopped nuts.

I’m pleased that the community has kept this discussion at a sober, somber, high level, e.g. no mention of Hannah “Banana” Huston from The Voice.
@chadp has some wild banana opinions.
@hollboll
@medz bless you.
OR
Just eat it straight and smoosh it through my teeth in my mouth.
orally.
Fritz’s Frozen Custard’s Mayor’s Cup!
@mediobarkre Where is this deliciousness found?
@compunaut Fritz’s Frozen Custard is a local chain in the St. Louis area. The above pic is the sundae version, but I love the concrete version.
https://www.facebook.com/fritzsfrozencustard/
@mediobarkre Didn’t recognize Fritz’s; I was always a Ted Drewes devotee
@compunaut I think I’m the 1 person in the St. Louis area who has never been to Ted Drewes. Fritz’s is too close and too good I guess.
On a sammich with peanut butter (creamy, not chunky cos’ that sh*ts nasty)

In a milkshake. Specifically, a chocolate malt with banana and peanut butter.
