@kittykat9180 any circumstance that doesn’t involve silicone toys… it lasts for hours without drying out or becoming sticky, can do double duty as massage oil, and it feels really nice on the skin. Slippery without being too slippery and provides just the right amount of friction. And it’s hypoallergenic and better for her V-health which, to me, seems like the most important decision criteria. IMHO it’s objectively better in every way except the major downside of liking to dissolve silicone toys. However, this is not an endorsement of this particular brand. It’s probably fine but I only buy Swiss Navy because I’m a snob.
@NadmanET, you got me googling now.
It appears silicone based has lower risk of causing UTI, which I get about 3 times a year, than water based.
Luckily most of my UTIs happen outside the US. Urgent care and antibiotics cost less outside the US, without insurance, than inside the US, with insurance.
@kittykat9180 healthcare here is insane as recent events have underscored. But yeah, give it a try! I had a partner have an allergic reaction to water based lube (which was mortifying for both of us) and that led me to stumble across this. I don’t want to say you’ll never get another uti… anytime you invite foreign invaders into your sovereign territory you’re putting your case up for review. But my anecdotal testimony is that I’ve seen a decrease in the incidence of both utis and yeast infections using silicone as compared to water-based. But I urge you to do your own vigorous research
Every 3000 miles!
@OnionSoup yep, but on Most newer cars it is now 10,000 w/ full Synthetic.
@mycya4me @OnionSoup Not just full synthetic but the proper full synthetic for your engine.
/giphy mind your own

@Ignorant
Strangely appropriate GIF
I’m unaware of any circumstance that anyone would want to use silicone lube yet, right now, it accounts for about 25% of orders.
@kittykat9180 less ingredients? idk seems like a good thing

@hchavers @mycya4me
Actually (spoiler alert) you may decide that you need to revisit that statement as you and your partner get older.
None Ya!

Not yet.
You really don’t want to know, and I’m not going to elaborate.
