What's your deal with socks?
4I hate having to deal with socks, so long ago i took the advice of a friend, and when my socks get too holey, i throw them all out, and buy a bunch of the same exact socks and dump them in my drawer. Everything is easier this way. No paring, no worrying, nothing.
I can almost always find socks for $1 a pair at kmart. Until recently, i used to be able to find kmarts. I’ve heard rumors of some still existing. Long live the $1 pair of socks!
How do you deal with socks?

I like to treat my sock drawer as a community of monogamous couples. I tend to not like them swapping partners. I also like them paired off and folded over exactly once, not balled together or turned inside out over each other or any other kind of kink that other people’s socks like to get into.
However if my wife is kind enough to do my laundry, I keep my complaints very quiet and under my breath in the unlikely event a sock has been found committing adultery or engaging in creative positions.
@djslack Sounds like me. Folded over once, each sock genus stacked together. Do not mix the no-show stack with the ankle stack. Don’t even dare think about putting putting either of those on top of the tube socks. And those dress socks? They’re actually in a separate drawer.
Socks? what are these socks you speak of?
Normally I wear FiveFingers and typically only wear socks for work. It used to be plain, tan-colored dress socks. Ended up buying a few pairs of “fun” socks here on Meh and thus started my fascination. About 2 years ago I discovered Stance’s Star Wars line in a gift shop at Disneyland and picked up Chewbacca and Darth Vader. A few months later they had a booth at the D23 Expo and I ended up walking away with a collectors box of 6 more. Since then, my collection has grown and I now have around 30 pairs of them. I’m still chasing some of the earlier boxed sets.
Clean ones are kept in my Star Wars sock drawer. Dirty ones are placed in a dedicated reusable grocery-type bag. Once a month I wash them separately (delicate cycle) and hang them on a rack to to air dry.
Initially I was a stickler about wearing matching socks. Now I mix and match: Endor Luke and Wickett, Hoth Luke and Wampa or Tauntaun, C-3PO and R2-D2, Rey and BB-8… you get the idea.

I like to have enough and lots of fun ones make me happy. My feet are always cold so I need lots handy.

I got 90 pairs of socks for Christmas once. It’s great to have a 3 months supply of socks
