Facebook. It's gone from a fun place to catch up, to a place filled with endless political diatribes and "aren't I clever and aren't you clever for agreeing with me," type of posts.
@Thumperchick from everything I've heard you can get those the stupidest things, if they really need it then what ever but being fat alone is not handicap
@Thumperchick Or for that matter, how can anyone tell if someone is handicapped period. Fat, skinny, medium. There's a lot of invisible shit out there.
@ceagee exactly! We all have a mental image of what handicapped people look like, and it's really lacking. So many debilitating illnesses do not come with a limp, or chair, or cane; but they impare someone just as greatly.
@Thumperchick at the schools so many people misuse those stickers. i know several moms whose parents are in assisted living who still use .the stickers
@naropa@thumperchick Just the other day at Walmart there was a woman driving a car advertising a cleaning service, as did her t-shirt, who pulled into a handicapped place, pulled out her sticker and ran, not walked, into the store. I contemplated letting the air out of her tires. Clearly she didn't need that spot. My dad would have needed that spot - he had had polio. I would have needed that spot when I had chemo. She took the last spot at the time. There should be a special place in hell for people who do that.
@caffeine_dude I'm on both sides of this issue. The problem is you're right. Ultimately we have to trust people, shaming them is dangerous (and horrible if you're wrong). Which is part of why it's heinous.
@Kidsandliz Even people who run into the store might have some sort of handicap. Perhaps she had a respiratory illness and was running in to get an inhaler from the pharmacy.
@medz while that may be true - unlikely could have a handicapped hang tag of hers if she is doing manual labor for a living. These are abused all the time around here.
I don't hate speaker docks. Actually I like them. I just wish they worked with a decent case. In fact, I think it should be required that speaker dock makers and phone/phablet/tablet case makers get their shit together, cooperate and make themselves compatible.
Root canal is worse than speaker docks, but not by much.
more speaker docks

A thing called Woot...which USED to be awesome, but now just sucks. Hail meh.
It's neck-and-neck between Facebook and Intestinal Parasites. Why does that make me so happy?

Non Handicapped People in Handicap parking, and I don't consider Fat People Handicapped, we need special parking, at the far end of the parking lot
@Foxborn What if they are fat AND handicapped? How do you know the difference?
@Thumperchick from everything I've heard you can get those the stupidest things, if they really need it then what ever but being fat alone is not handicap
@Foxborn I agree that being obese is not a handicap. My question is how you know by looking at someone if they are handicapped, or just fat.

The problem is you can not shame these people, what if there is really something wrong with them? (Physically not mentally)
@Thumperchick you should be able to tell by looking but it's probably best if you can't
