What’s the longest time you’ve waited for an order to arrive?
1I placed an order on May 15th and the estimated shipping was for the end of May. My order sat doing nothing until end of June/beginning of July and then it moved to shipped but I still never received a notice about it shipping. After sending Meh a couple of messages today I asked them to cancel the order bc I’m clearly never going to receive it. Heck I don’t even know why I ordered it in the first place. How long have you waited for something to come?

I placed an order in May 2017 for a tool set from Lowe’s. I finally got it sometime in early 2018. I think February.
In the meantime I had to run the gauntlet if catching emails from the spam folder and replying saying “no, I still want this. Do not cancel my order”. Apparently that’s one of the ways they handle backordered stuff - reply to this email and tell us not to cancel your order within 7 days or we’ll just cancel it and pretend it never happened.
@djslack
Man I thought mine was bad.
Those tooth brushes it was a long time we got post cards and a special package for waiting. Quip I think they were.
It’s not clear if you’re referring specifically to Meh orders, or to shipping in general.
Currently sitting at 6 months for a guitar amp, not Meh but I feel like sharing.
@poppaearl What are you looking for? I have several…perhaps make you a heck of a deal!
@poppaearl Must be a Spark!
@dr_2th Nailed it. But I did get it!
@poppaearl I’ve still got a few more months before mine shows up.
I bought an irk from sidedeal in April that had the shipping pushed back multiple times before it just magically changed status to delivered despite the tracking information clearly showing otherwise. I sent a message a couple of days ago but haven’t heard back yet.
I have an item on order from Amazon since March 2016. They haven’t canceled it so I still hold out hope. About once a year they ask if I want to keep waiting and I say yes…
@duodec
at least you haven’t paid for it yet
@duodec now I am curious, what would prompt a 4 year wait? and how do I get one?
@duodec I pre-ordered books from Amazon a couple times, both of which saw publishing delays. I kept answering “yes” to the wait. Finally got each one, in its time.
@spoole2020 It was a container of foam ear plugs, like you’d find in a factory that required them (put a pair of plugs in your ears before entering), but it was an Amazon pricing algorithm glitch for about 90% off. I ordered two, they canceled one a month or two later.
Some other people who ordered the deal eventually got them (a year or two after ordering), I’m still waiting.
The longest I’ve ever waited is until the moment it got to me. After that, I stopped waiting…
@shahnm
Sort of a “why do you always find something in the last place you look”…
@chienfou @shahnm You beat me to that punchline (grin).
Does this count Kickstarters (which are not really orders)?
I’ve waited too long…Help…get me out of here!!
About 5min. That’s my attention span. Usually I forget a out orders and these boxes and mailers appear on the front porch. It’s like christmas but the mailbabe doesn’t wear a red suit.
Still waiting on those X-ray Specs I ordered in 1965…
@macromeh that’s very funny! My Beenie Copter (Ceicle & Beenie Show) Cap arrived. Wish you’d ordered one too. We could of played together!
Approx. 7 shipments are way overdue, beginning in February 2020. Meh site says “Delivered!” Click tracking # through to USPS and status is “Waiting for arrival of item”.
@HoneyImHomeWTF Yikes!
I ordered a field trimmer from Amazon because it was on sale in July 2019. They tried to cancel on me a few times and it was finally shipped in March 2020.
I tell myself the manufacturer probably didn’t make enough and there was some kind up clearancing out something that they did not make enough of cause it’s seasonal thing and they restarted the production line in the spring
When I was a child, I waited for an iPod to ship. It took three weeks.
As an adult, I know better than to wait. Now, I press the order button and abandon hope.
I don’t know how long it will be, because it hasn’t arrived yet.
