@jmckinl I kind of wanted one of those; the interface seemed better than the FitBit Charge. But the MS Band has metal on the inside/back so I can't wear it. Also, why is Microsoft so bad at coming up with names? They couldn't make something up that sounds more interesting than "Band"?
@jmckinl That's what I have, too. I've been surprised with how decent it's been and mostly how nice it's played with my Android phones. I do wish it played nicer with sunscreen and water, though; some of the times I'd want to use its fitness tracking abilities I'd also like to have on sunscreen and/or be in the water.
@jmckinl One more here. Should have been one of the poll choices. Microsoft Band 2 coming next month? Anyone heard / seen rumors of what that will look like?
Pebble Time... oh and a nabu x on my other wrist for fitness tracking (cause nobody has taken advantage of the android marketplace to make a fitness app that syncs online)
@LegacyHardware They apparently just updated it after over a year of promise that they would support it. Their reviews on play store make them a joke. I'll give it a shot.
I have to say... Did hell freeze over. After many months of boycotting Rite Aid due to them allowing Apple pay, then not allowing it. Today(I guess yesterday now) I saw a sign for apple pay accepted then in tiny print mobile payments & google wallet. I clicked my watch and paid. It was awesome... but WHY THE ... did you wait almost a year to reverse your decision on allowing apple pay anyway... The worst was when they disallowed it at first, I had a return. They said it had to go back on the payment method that it came from, but they blocked Apple pay. (the card number is different than the actual card or it was when it first came out... I haven't checked a receipt recently, and I'm pretty sure it hasn't changed.) They told me I guess you're stuck with it. I said lets try again. They gave me cash, mostly to shut me up and deal with the now 7 angry people behind me... TL;dr Rite aid accepts mobile wallet payments now. Apple Pay. :)
@sohmageek I think it had something to do with them contracting with another payment system that demanded exclusivity. I heard bits and pieces on a tech podcast but haven't had time to follow up.
@duodec yes currenC is the product that still hasn't launched from consortium of retailers the company is mcx. Walmart and cvs seem to be the last holdouts on it.
@jaremelz Alright... I'm thinking this is what happened: When you were very young, people realized that you were pretty much the perfect human. They decided to create a clone (perhaps several; who knows?)... Thus, I was born.
@christinewas He's going to laugh so hard when he sees this. I'm pretty much the picture of imperfection. Warped and somewhat broken, but that's actually how I prefer things!
Does the usual step and sleep tracking stuff, waterproof. With phone notifications turned off (I still get goal notifications), this thing gives me 90 days of battery life. Pretty astounding design and build quality considering you can find it for $15 shipped.
Yep, same here. It's not technically an Android watch - the OS is called Tizen - but it only works with Samsung Android phones. When I first got it, everyone asked if it was an iWatch, despite the iWatch being many months away from release.
@jsfs Samsung Gear here, too. But the first version, which was Android based. Samsung at some point allowed it to be updated to Tizen, but I never did. And some ambitious person managed to root his and install a full Andriod build on it. Totally useless, then.
@SIMBM I've read that a lot of people like the null rom. I have the original, too, but it's running rooted Tizen NF1. The update really made it more useful, so it might be worth checking out.
Most days the luxury watch I wear is a is a citizen ecodirve I bought on Meh a few months back.... Thank you so much meh I didn't say this before but I'll say it now Ive wanted an ecodirve for years and I finally found one here that I could own.
Well, it's midnight and I'm in bed so nothing now, but earlier and for the foreseeable not-bed future, it's a new watch for me. This past friday, I had to upend our bank box looking for something and found tucked all the way in the back corner an omega geneve that my mother got herself in Lausanne in 1972-ish. In perfect working condition, just needed winding! She'd completely forgotten about it and the other watches (imma have to go back another day to look through that baggie and see what other shinies lie within) back there and certainly doesn't want them anymore, so I've got some fun little new pretties to add to my wristly decorations. I'm satiated in acquisitioning. Huzzah for great magpie mamas!
Hair band. Cause I'm a girl. With hair. Then again seeing that this is the internet, it's entirely possible that I'm actually a horse with amazing typing skills. CAUSE NOBODY KNOWS YOUR A HORSE ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!!! Erm.... But yea, totally a girl with hair...............
a Pebble Steel. Which may be going back for repairs (this is my second one - first got replaced by Pebble). I like it all right but ... just ticked that the screen is "tearing" again.
nothing I've got many watches but I have to remember to wear them and I surrounded by clocks and rarely look at a watch if I'm wearing one so it became really easy to forget that I was wearing one which became forgetting to put one on in the first place which became general apathy toward the watch industry which ulitmately led to the failure of Reaganomics and the destruction of the economy at the time I feel so ashamed.
Elastic hair bands. As in all things modern nowadays, they contain almost no elastic, so one is forced to use multitudes of them; wrapping and wrapping them around your wrist like an old-school jelly bracelet. @:0
Microsoft Band. Doesn't need a phone to track my hike. Does all the notifications from my Note 4. Doesn't have a big enough battery. Actually, the perfectly "meh" product. Looking forward to v2, as v1 of anything is never anybody's best...
@sephuink09 I think what he is saying is the Microsoft Band has built-in GPS. I also have a Microsoft Band. I can't remember if the display was awkward to look at at first, but if it was I am totally used to it now.
@4mehem I am also looking forward to see what changes they make for the Band 2, or whatever it will be called. I think Microsoft's Band is the best parts of the smartwatches mixed with the best parts of the fitness bands, which is exactly what I wanted. I just hope the next one is waterproof.
Retired awhile back. Took off the tie, suit, polished shoes and most important the watch. I have no desire to ever know what time it is........love it.
I haven't worn a watch since I got a smartphone. I did have a Jawbone Up for about 9 months, but all it ever did for me (besides break) was tell me I wasn't sleeping enough. Which, you know, I kinda knew already.
@XBmanX13 I charge it every night, although its usually around 50% after 16 hours. It seems to last about a day and a half, almost two on a full charge. That is with the screen always on. The only drawback for this model is it does not have wifi. They did not attach an antenna to the wifi on the SOC, which just seems lazy.
I have a fitbit like every other normal person who pretends to care about fitness but is only motivated enough to wear a fitness bracelet and not enough to actually workout.
I want to wear a fitness tracker or watch so bad, but my arm rebels against them completely, regardless of the material. My wrist just starts breaking out in annoying red rashes. I surprisingly got a good few months out of my Fitbit Flex before it got rejected and my last attempt, a Microsoft Band, lasted all of 15 minutes.
That's not gonna stop me from buying (and subsequently returning, I'm sure) a Band 2 when it comes out, because "maybe this one, finally".
Hair band. (not mine in picture)
FitBit Charge HR, surprised it wasn't already an option
@metageist ditto, they are pretty popular and the first question that came to mind was 'why doesn't this thing count steps'
Pebble
@thismyusername I had one of those! Then the seal went bad but at least they replaced it for me and now my nephew sports it on his wrist.
@jmckinl I have one of these on my shelf, but it has since been replaced, first by the Pebble Steel, and now by the Pebble Time Steel.
vivofit
Casio G-Shock DW-5600E. And yes, I knew the model without looking at the back ;)
Microsoft Band!
@jmckinl
And another band wearer heard from! I love mine...
@jmckinl I kind of wanted one of those; the interface seemed better than the FitBit Charge. But the MS Band has metal on the inside/back so I can't wear it.

@rileyper that looks a lot nicer than...
@rileyper Have you tried Misfit for Pebble? I use the watch app and it syncs to the android app. You can also view your stats on the webpage.
@LegacyHardware They apparently just updated it after over a year of promise that they would support it. Their reviews on play store make them a joke. I'll give it a shot.
Handcuffs
Hospital bracelet, a tangle of IV tubes and my usual silver and bead bracelets. I have a busy wrist.
@Pony yikes! I hope you escape from your IV soon!
@Thumperchick thanks. Only trapped here overnight I hope. I have pneumehnia.
@Pony Hope you get out of there and feel much better very soon !
@Pony Not a fun bracelet. Hope things go good for you.

@sohmageek OK... I have to make a correction, too late to edit... CurrentC is the product.
@sohmageek Holy crap that is a quick timeout on edits... The product that has a Whopping 1 Star review on the app store.
@sohmageek You're getting a pretty good conversation going with yourself, here. I feel kind of bad butting in.
@sohmageek Shhh! Someone's talking to us!
@christinewas Hi!
@sohmageek I was going to say something smart-ass, but got distracted by your sweet new badge and that sweet Captain.
The stainless steel Citizen Eco-Drive chronograph sold here a while ago. Unbelievably great deal.
Freckles. In the summer they basically all combine to give me the appearance of a tan.
@jaremelz Do we even get enough sun in the northwest to develop freckles?
@jaremelz if you count them, they are actually the number of years you have taken from my life expectancy.
@metageist Hey, up until this week we've been getting a lot! I've put so many miles on the bike this summer.
@mfladd Whaddya mean? You've never looked better. And you know it delights me to know
@jaremelz Alright...
Fossil Watch, Brighton and Alex & Ani bracelets. Heavy metal, so to speak.
Mi Band by Xaiomi (that Chinese cell phone maker)
Does the usual step and sleep tracking stuff, waterproof. With phone notifications turned off (I still get goal notifications), this thing gives me 90 days of battery life. Pretty astounding design and build quality considering you can find it for $15 shipped.
Wish it could tell the time, though. :(
a GOAT shackle. Free Me!
@mfladd
@ceagee I like the looks of this.
@mfladd How's the lifelong goathood treating you anyway? :)
@thismyusername
Fitbit Surge
Misfit shine.
Pebble of course! Pebble Time to be precise. The only watch worth wearing
@ygalanter Pebble Time Steel here. :)
@kazriko Soon (hopefully) here too :) Still waiting
Metawatch Frame of course! :)
This weird freckle...
Samsung gear , people think I'm cool now.
Yep, same here. It's not technically an Android watch - the OS is called Tizen - but it only works with Samsung Android phones. When I first got it, everyone asked if it was an iWatch, despite the iWatch being many months away from release.

A rather strange growth I've never noticed before.
I should get that looked at ...
nothing...is it still the 90's?
Most days the luxury watch I wear is a is a citizen ecodirve I bought on Meh a few months back.... Thank you so much meh I didn't say this before but I'll say it now Ive wanted an ecodirve for years and I finally found one here that I could own.

Nothing. My arms are so weak that I can't wear anything on my wrists or they'll get numb.
Med-alert band on one wrist and my grandma's old watch that my grandpa gave her on the other. Nothing fancy.
fitbit!
Fitbit Charge HR
Misfit Shine
@Zypher me too
@Ayer87 Me too.... well, girl with a hair band anyways.
Pebble son! The way to go for a starter smart watch
a Pebble Steel. Which may be going back for repairs (this is my second one - first got replaced by Pebble). I like it all right but ... just ticked that the screen is "tearing" again.

I now await the best image from you of this...
Microsoft Band. Doesn't need a phone to track my hike. Does all the notifications from my Note 4. Doesn't have a big enough battery. Actually, the perfectly "meh" product. Looking forward to v2, as v1 of anything is never anybody's best...
@4mehem Lol Microsoft... Is it the one where the display is the most awkward position ever to look at?!
Also. Apple watch doesn't need a phone to track your hike, either.
@Lister it has the horizontal display that runs the length of the wrist, and doesn't seem like anyone actually wore it during development.
The dedicated GPS would be nice
Retired awhile back. Took off the tie, suit, polished shoes and most important the watch. I have no desire to ever know what time it is........love it.
@1wally1
Pebble Time!
I haven't worn a watch since I got a smartphone. I did have a Jawbone Up for about 9 months, but all it ever did for me (besides break) was tell me I wasn't sleeping enough. Which, you know, I kinda knew already.
Primarily a Tag Heuer I've had for 12 years.
I have a Sony SmartWatch3 and the last Meta watch Meh sold. Both smart watches lasted about a month on my wrist before I went back to my Tag.
Oakley Minuite Mahcine
Fitbit Charge on the right, elastic hair bands slowly cutting off circulation to my hand on the left...
I have an LG G watch I got from woot, its fairly awesome for a $70(refurb) watch.
@bryanlc whats battery life? Gotta keep my eyes peeled. They have the moto 360, but I will give that a pass.
Apple Watch, represent!
@TBoneZeOriginal Is there a dislike button?
@juststephen "Stop liking what I irrationally dislike!"
FitBit Charge HR!
Whoever does these polls suck - there's always an obvious answer that isn't included. FitBit ftw
@Gimbap Not sure what the problem is here, your answer would be: "Something else you'll wrap around our wrist in the forum"
I have a fitbit like every other normal person who pretends to care about fitness but is only motivated enough to wear a fitness bracelet and not enough to actually workout.
Fitbit Charge HR. The vibration alarm on the fitbits is an awesome feature.
Arm hair. :(
I want to wear a fitness tracker or watch so bad, but my arm rebels against them completely, regardless of the material.
@mikey You should try a moto360 with a metal strap, or one of the other metal smart watches!
@blandreth94 I've got pretty hairy arms, so metal straps are pretty much a torture device for me unless I shave my wrist.
Hair.
Casio Edifice, solar, atomic
Solar, atomic, stainless band. And I know I've posted this here before in another forum page...
A black Pebble Time Steel
