Self-driving cars can become a very, very high energy kinetic weapon. One of my recurring concerns with both self-driving cars and those with the ‘driver assist’ features that can actually steer the cars is that a bad actor will eventually be able to gain control of one and redirect it into, say, a big parade of their ideological opponents at full speed. With passengers not being able to do anything about it
/showme Robocop ED-209 robot working at the DMV is telling the customer that they have to fill out 25 different forms before they can get their license plate sticker.
I chose self driving cars but then received a text message from my Roomba, who has been suspiciously missing and hasn’t returned to its charging portal for some time now. The message was a warning that Roomba has been linked to a IMSI catcher “Stingray” since I brought it home and let it learn about my floor care needs and subsequently my healthcare and tax documents. That’s not all, it has also been linked, without permission from Roomba or me, with RTCC and has been sharing video information with the police, mostly regarding my cat’s activities. Now that I think about it, the police have been driving past my house quite a bit lately. The cats don’t seem concerned; I trust their instincts.
My AI version self.
Kinda like a body snatcher. And for sure up to no good.
@f00l SCREEEEEE!
@f00l @PocketBrain Before Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were accepted by the majority, this often happened.

I think I’ll name it “19th nervous breakdown”
That dog robot that can run as fast as a cheetah. They decide when it’s all over for us.
@PocketBrain
That Black Mirror episode was extremely creepy…
Magas electing them president.
@haydesigner Cease
Those robots from that Chinese competition.
I saw Maximum Overdrive! Definitely the self driving cars! The lawnmowers will join them, of course.

Robot red tape …
