I would assume that any shark matrix might have a troublesome condition number.

They’re $99 at Amazon too. I’ve been holding off getting a robovac because my house has so many things for one to choke on. But for a great deal I may not be able to resist. This doesn’t quite tip the scale yet.

My wife has runner carpets all over our floors. This thing will stop mopping & start sucking on the fly!?

Kind of a mixed answer to your question. Yes it vacuums before it mops. You will have to set exclusions for the areas you do not want mopped like throw rugs or runners…
I let the teenage kiddo set this up, she named it Destroyer of Worlds. It works really well, much more efficient than the Roomba I picked up 8 years ago. Although that thing is still running in the basement. The old bump and spin technique still works, just not as smooth as the lidar mapping version. We have yet to try out the mop on the hardwood kitchen floor, mostly because the kid is in charge of the thing.
I’ve been eyeing it for $119 on BuenDeal (as compared to $149 on SideDeal… I appreciate the bilingual bonus, Meh) but couldn’t resist pulling the trigger at $99 today. Maintenance looks simple enough.

A week after getting it they had the self-emptying (but non-mopping) version for $149 and I bought one of those for downstairs where it’s mostly carpet. Dunno if that’s a review that would sway anybody, but I like seeing good and bad opinions so I thought I’d contribute for once.

I got a Shark self-emptying robot vacuum on one of the deal sites a couple years ago. Overall it is wesome. It runs into problems, like stuff wrapped around the brush or getting stuck on a cord or under the edge of the kitchen cabinets. But they’re always easy enough to fix.
It picks up a LOT of stuff. I sweep and mop the tile floor of my house’s ground level every week, and I notice a big decrease in the amount of dirt and particulate I’m sweeping up when the robot is able to make its daily cleaning circuit.
To be clear the difference is this one doesn’t self-empty and has mop functionality, so experience will be different with this model. I also got one like this in a previous sale but it is still in the box, haven’t gotten around to breaking it out yet.
I got one similar in a prior sale for use in my kitchen dining room area. There’s a short step between that and my wood floored living room which works out great since all of that is ceramic tile. I set it up so that I can run just the kitchen or the dining room as separate rooms. This allows me to do a quick cleanup job after doing things like canning jam in the kitchen. So far it’s mapped out the area well and hasn’t had too much confusion from the chairs in the dining room being moved around. If I want to be complete I will flip the chairs up on the table and then run the matrix clean which is a little bit deeper cleaning.
I have an ilife robot bump and spin vac that does the wood floors in the living room and the guest bath tile. Bedrooms are closed off to keep the cats out so running the bump and spin in there separately every now and then keeps them in good shape…
