@miko1 My head sweats in my sleep. I get all greasy and so does my bedding. Better to shower in the morning to be clean for the day. If I'm covered in mud or if I'm very sweaty, I'll also shower before bed.
@miko1 If I know I'm doing something where I'm sweating a lot or getting extra dirty, I shower afterward (before bed). Otherwise, I need to shower in the morning just so my hair isn't crazy. Plus a morning shower tends to wake me up. The idea is to actually change the sheets weekly, not sleep on overly dirty sheets.
@medz Glad to hear i'm not the only person with a sweaty head! I've tried showering before bed, i still wake up feeling...dirty/yucky...like i need to take a shower
I've found that showering is one way I can almost survive ungodly supplies of pollen come spring. A DC weather guy mentioned this on TV a few years back, & so help me it really does seem to help. If I go out to run errands or something when we're at the height of pollen season, I almost always come in & take a quick shower afterwards.
Of course, I'm somewhat prunelike, but life is sometimes a series of tradeoffs.
My hair is very long and very thick and I am very lazy. If I shower in the morning I have to go to work with wet hair.
@MsELizardBeth Funny, if I shower at night I have to go to work with crazy hair.
Keep your bed clean. Shower before bed.
@miko1 This, I dont understand how people can sleep when they are all dirty and gross. clean is much better.
@miko1 agreed! that also seemed to be the consensus when i visited japan... at least from what i witnessed/was told.

It would take some form of exercise or labor to get dirty, so I just try to avoid moving at all ever.

When I get up, but it's not morning.
@nogoodwithnames Yeah, the poll wasn't very accepting of diverse lifestyles.
Mediocrebot at his very Medicore-est.
When I get home from work.
If it doesn't stop raining soon, at this rate I'll get a shower in bed about 4am

@gertiestn That makes so much sense. Thanks for the tip!
First thing in the afternoon.
(Before work.)
I picked first thing in the morning, but it's actually fourth:
@SSteve Optimized version:
1. Make latté
2. Pee/Shave/Brush teeth/Drink latté/Shower
3. Get dressed
@brhfl I don't know. Making a latté with no clothes on sounds dangerous.
@SSteve But if you burn yourself, you just modify step two to be a cool shower!
After I exercise, which varies depending on the day's schedule.
bath is where it is at
I think you meant to say "year" instead of "day." For me it's spring.
Yeah, I like to be clean when I hit the hay. Sometimes, though, it's all I can do to shuck my shoes before crashing.
PffT. Showering is over rated. I prefer going French
Usually late afternoon, after golf, before dinner. Since I retired, I don't need to shower before work.
9:00am EDT
@Barney But then you won't get to see the live stream!
Oh, @dashcloud, you really made my day. Thank you.
If I'm filthy, then before bed. If I did office work all day, then in the morning.
To put me under a shower head first thing in the morning (430am wakeup), would be almost as bad as doing the same to a feral cat.
@Crystalballs I'm playing around with a heart attack to take a shower in the morning.
After I've cooled down from working out. Usually around 10am.
