I grew up in a family that never gave gift cards, so I rarely give them out unless I’m really at a loss for ideas. For the most part our family members are cooperative and provide wishlists. I do have one family member who will absolutely not give anybody any ideas, so he’ll get a gift card. He’s happy with it, and the rest of us are just tired of struggling with coming Up with ideas for him.
Zero percent, as I have the uncanny ability to listen for eleven months to the inane chatter people use as conversation and decipher what they desire for the holiday. I expect 85% or higher of the gifts I receive with be gift cards as my family and friends declare I am impossible to buy for despite my dropping hints for an entire year.
Zero percent.
I don’t celebrate holidays and won’t be buying any gifts. I do take advantage of the sales occasionally to buy myself things.
Most of my gifts will be cash itself. Folks are hard to buy for.

I’m basically just getting most people straight-up cocaine this year.

@kreader1260 same on both counts!!!
the only cash like gift is to my niece for her to pay for the passport she needs if she goes on a cruise with me next year.
I buy gift cards to get the holiday incentives, then use them myself.
