Morningsave.com is another ecommerce site from mediocre. They have deals that are too limited to sell here on meh, or when there's a random overstock they need to sell. Those sales seem to last as long as the product does - there isn't really a set time frame for them. (From what I can tell.)
@username There's no forum there. Not much in the way of discussion for the offerings, either - as they tend to be stuff we've seen here in some form or another.
@dave's comment still applies - there's not much reason to check it regularly. (though I love the fake pitch as Meh for East Coasties @thismyusername / @editorkid)
We have checkout.org and morningsave.com in play for events we run on TV shows or through other platforms that need a store landing page. Someday the MorningSave site might get up to a pace of events worth checking (if the name wasn't a good enough hint) but we'll let folks know more officially when that's worth the effort.
@snapster Can you tell we like to give you money? We just are curious on ways to have a negative cash flow, positive junk package flow... or maybe some of us just want to see FedEx/USPS work a little more mediocre :) for a while when I Wasn't tracking packages it was like a fuku in the sense of I didn't know what to expect from the boxes....
@snapster is it going to be a site where at say 6 am the price is the lowest then each hour the price goes up by 5% or something. To make the morning the best time to save?
Cheerson copters are now $9 on morningsave.com if you have VMP. And 808 Hex bluetooth speakers are also below the Meh price. I don't remember seeing them beat Meh.com prices before.
What's the story, morningsave? Wait, that didn't rhyme. Maybe somebody else, more clever than me, can make something that rhymes and gets a point across.
In case helpful, and because I have little recourse to fix having purchased from this company, I’ll leave my review here. Hope it dissuadés others from purchasing from MorningSave / Mercatalyst:
Bought a weighted blanket and less than a year into owning, the thing started leaking all over my bed. I finally realized what was happening and took off the protective cover, and small mountains of its plastic pieces went all over like sand. I cannot tell where the leak is coming from, but it is clearly the same plastic sandlike filling that is inside the blanket. I contacted Morningsave and they said there is nothing they can (or will) do because there was a 3 month warranty only, and I did not contact them within 3 months of the purchase date.
The other point to know, related to that purchase date, is that I bought the item and it took over a literal month to ship to me. So of the 3-month warranty, I would have had only two months to discover the product was faulty.
What a racket. Avoid at all costs unless you want to waste $50-$200 on a weighted blanket that lasts less than a year. Just buy from somewhere else. Now I have to get rid of this one and either buy another one or just accept that I only got months out of this one.
Avoid avoid avoid, buyer beware. Just buy what you need off Amazon etc.
@shurefyre
You do know that you could have paid far more for the same item on Amazon or other e-tailers. You don’t mention the value of those savings, though or that a cheap price was your primary factor in purchasing, not a long warranty, nor did you heed product reviews that say this can occur with that product. Even posts on this site about this particular issue with this particular item. On a site that sells hundreds of different items in a year, some for only one day, never to be sold again.
Mornigsave/Mercatalyst are brokers, not manufacturers. The return policy of 3-months was clear, the notice of shipping delays during COVID is outside of their control. Those are reasonable for a product that is both seasonal and in all likelihood, discontinued or no longer manufactured. Those factors are part of the extraordinary value and savings you received in purchasing products for such low prices.
If you want gold-plated forever warranties, then by all means, purchase items at full price from a department store or other retailer with the much, much higher prices that pay for the occasional unsatisfied customer months after the warranty has expired.
Why would you expect a Macy’s return policy from Dollar General? And clearly you’ve not tried to return items out of warranty that you’ve purchased from Woot, eBay, Rakuten, Etsy, Groupon, GoSocial, Wish, or from third-party affiliates of Walmart, Amazon, BestBuy, etc.
I’m sorry you got a dud product. It happens. Most times, most people get excellent value for what they pay on the Morningsave, Meh, and other Mercatalyst family sites.
So much so that thousands of customers are willing to compete routinely for the privilege of purchasing a $5 unknown item sight unseen, that they are told in advance they will regret doing. It’s right in the name of the item - the much coveted Instant Regret Kit.
@shurefyre
Also, don’t just buy stuff off Amazon. Their businesses model is terrible for local businesses, terrible for creating local jobs other than low-skill, low-wage delivery driver or warehouse picker, are only terrible for the climate with fossil fuel delivery vehicle fleets (and data centers for AWS), and Jeff Bezos isn’t helping anyone but himself with the profits as the world’s 2nd richest person. He doesn’t need any more of anyone’s money.
Hey, does anybody know how to actually submit product reviews on the Morningsave website?
I don’t have any “review this product” option, regardless of whether I am using mobile or desktop view
FWIW, I kind of like MS – I have gotten great stuff like teapots, earbuds, etc for a terrific price – but wouldn’t use it again for items like blenders, etc.
I bought the Omega MeGo and it lasted exactly 1 use (I didn’t even blend frozen fruit or ice – just a coffee drink with powders).
Not complaining – I got a full refund, near-immediate refund from customer service – but I would prefer to save the landfills and see offers for higher quality items, even if the discount wasn’t as deep.
MS is no worse tham Amazon when it comes to selling crap electronics (and they’re usually priced a bit less). But “no worse than Amazon” is hardly a recommendation.

@Thumperchick and from what I can tell has had nothing for sale on it for awhile
@Foxborn Same here. I wonder if the shift to VMP Last Call sales has filled the need that MS used to?
@Foxborn hydration bottles have been there awhile. there was a bit of bluetooth stuff not long ago
@Cerridwyn now there is but over a month ago there wasn't anything up for about 2 weeks I think

@thismyusername
Why do so many posts give off the impression that the East Coast doesn't have a shot at deals on Meh?
Not all of us sleep...
I for example, have better things to do than "sleep".
@FroodyFrog sleep is overrated for sure, until I have none then it might be the most important thing on earth.
@FroodyFrog Its 'cause they complain so much...
I seem to recall it was a 6 am Eastern flip. I've slept last night, so I could be wrong.
if you're lucky, you may be able to score a Fuku...like @Cengland0 did!
@densa Didn't they sell Bigfoot one morning too?
@narfcake It was a threefer, like today's deal.
@joelmw @narfcake I missed the Big Foot sale but I did manage to see the Yeti one. You gotta move quickly because they literally sell out in seconds.
@densa when were those posted?
@username November 13th, 2016.
where are morningsaves deals discussed? do they have a forum?
@username There's no forum there. Not much in the way of discussion for the offerings, either - as they tend to be stuff we've seen here in some form or another.
@username There's a Facebook page, but until Morning Save has regular deals, there's not much reason to check it.
mugs there at the moment
They've had over priced contigo up for the last coupla days.
@cranky1950 Coupla MONTHS.
Morningsave has posted items for sale.
@dave's comment still applies - there's not much reason to check it regularly. (though I love the fake pitch as Meh for East Coasties @thismyusername / @editorkid)

You mean I could see morningsave.com advertised on something I watch?
@snapster is it going to be a site where at say 6 am the price is the lowest then each hour the price goes up by 5% or something. To make the morning the best time to save?
I just randomly noticed that VMP now includes 10% off at morningsave.com - that seems to be a new benefit.
https://mediocre.com/vmp
@tcarpel - Good catch.
Many good answers here.
In simpler terms, morningsave is, off and on, a chance for geniuses like us to fling more $ at @snapster and co.
@somf69

@sammydog01 someone got excited and apparently forgot about VMP when pricing those. left to enjoy.
What's the story, morningsave? Wait, that didn't rhyme. Maybe somebody else, more clever than me, can make something that rhymes and gets a point across.
@macdaddy1 I guess this is now the old thread as a new thread got posted with some further info.
oh shit, that didn't rhyme either :(
@macdaddy1 Cool new items posted there right now!
Why bother with morningsave the items do not change even after three weeks.....
Crap is crap, after a week, sell it to Greece.
I think there is a limit of 5 on morningsave purchases. Tried to by 7 cx-10s and could only buy 5. (just fyi)
Those nice 20 ounce Bubba tumblers are on Morningsave if anyone missed them. Some of the glassware too. The glasses are cheaper too.
I thought he said MorningSlave.com… Which sounds like a good idea but, is actually not.
In case helpful, and because I have little recourse to fix having purchased from this company, I’ll leave my review here. Hope it dissuadés others from purchasing from MorningSave / Mercatalyst:
Here is the US Better Business Bureau’s listing for MorningSave, owned by “Mercatalyst”: https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/carrollton/profile/online-retailer/mercatalyst-inc-0875-90544607
Directly from the BBB: “Due to the volume of complaints filed against this business, BBB only publishes the details of 50% of the total complaints.”
And now, here is my review of MorningSave:
