@hallmike had a thing to say about giving up something for lent in the recent “news” post.

It made me think, when we hear Christians say this, or if we say it ourselves, does/should it imply we have given it up forever, or just until lent is over?

Then we are back at it like rabbits (hmmm, maybe a bad metaphor to pick).

Since lent is behind us, even in the Eastern Church, are we now right back to being the depressed liars, gluttons, money grabbing back stabbers, lazy ice cream eaters, smokers, gossiping drinkers, bacon loving nail biters we used to?
