I tried so hard to stay with film... But eventually I gave in. And then my digital point&shoot was pretty much replaced by my series of iPhones. I still use the p&s for harsh environments (it's the top of the line Olympus Stylus Tough from a couple years back).
@curtise I gave my friend an Olympus Tough for his birthday after he destroyed several cameras and it has been great! He forgets his phone but never his camera, and he's used it in below freezing, super-hot, and underwater shooting conditions, dropped it many times (once into the ocean) and it just keeps on taking photos.
Got me a fujifilm vid/still S2900 18 op zoom paid under two bills when b'ness had a heart.. This canon is great priced but I'll stick with my fuji and spend my money on later meh's and possibly some oreo's.
@Bingo Thanks. The 300mm was the most expensive lens but still not as expensive as the camera. I use them to take pictures of nature. Here's a picture I took last Saturday.
Long ago, I used a Pentax SLR, then went to a Canon DSLR. I loved them both but my old hands and arthritis began to like them a lot less. Now I mostly use a 4/3 camera (Panasonic Lumix G5) because it is smaller and lighter than a DSLR. I miss some DSLR features which were trade-offs for size and weight.

Canon Powershot G11. Need to buy a newer model, though. It's a great camera but it's been left behind in the pixel wars. Not as shiny as your shots, but in a similar vein. I was quite taken with the reflections of the swans.
I wonder if you can still get film? The advantage to film is you can wait for exactly the perfect moment. The problem with film now is...now I see something, I take the picture.
Eep. I kinda collect cameras. Go-to cameras are the Nikon D7100, mostly with the 105mm macro and the 70-300mm zoom lenses, and my phone, a Nexus 5, although lately that's been really disappointing.
Other toys include the Ondu panoramic pinhole film camera, the Lytro I scored on Woot a while back, and the Lensbaby lenses for the Nikon.
Canon 7D with EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens for daily use. Rocking a 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS for distance. Saving up for a 70-200mm f/4L IS.

Canon? Yo quiero Pachelbel.
@nadroj That is what speaker docks are for...

I own a Canon EOS 70D. Love it. I only use it for big jobs nowadays since the phone is so much more handy.
Canon 6D with a 24-105mm f/4L IS. Or a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS.. Or a 50mm f/2.5 Macro... Or some others. I use it for a living.
Canon 5D (1st gen), Rebel 2000, and S100. But as one of my college professors always said: "the best camera is the one you have with you."
Canon 1Dx,
300mm f/2.8,
70-200mm f/2.8,
50mm f/1.2,
24-70 f/2.8
@cengland0 Damn. You've got some nice glass.

@cengland0 Really nice shot!
@jsh139 Now you got me motivated to share more. Here's another from the same day -- different pond.
@cengland0 Another good one! Both taken with the 300mm?
@jsh139 Yes, the 300 mm with 1.4x multiplier. It loses an f-stop so it ends up being 420 mm and f/4.0.
Super cool. What a weird way for a neck to bend!
I use my hands to take photos.
duh
Nikon D5100 with the stock 18-55mm lens. Buying a 35m or other prime lens soon. I use my phone for most pictures though since it's always handy.

@rockblossom Or realtors who use filters to super-saturate the colors or give an oil painting effect, usually trying to hide some defect in the house.
@gio How about using pan shots to make a space look bigger than it really is?
@rockblossom Or shots taken from near the floor to make the room look less cramped? Or fisheye lens!?

@moondrake Nice. I love nature pictures and dedicate most of my free time to taking them.
@moondrake I also like the reflection effect and get some shots like that too. Here's an old coot and his reflection.

Really nice pictures!
My phone takes awful pictures, so I use a camera. But it isn't fancy.

@Thumperchick - A beauty, I'm impressed by the hint of a reflection. You caught it at the perfect moment. Brava!
