@pooflady Let me guess, you weren’t too impressed? Well, I did see the movie in our only remaining art deco theater. I hope you know the kind – murals painted on the walls, red velvet seats with massive red velvet curtains to match – and it had a balcony!

I loved the music in GWTW. The overture was played and then the curtains were pulled open to the opening credits and the GWTW theme song was heard. It was so beautiful. But never let it be said that I am sentimental. Never.

@jbartus pork rinds are food of the low carb gods. i use them instead of tortilla chips. i also make chicken fingers with a pork rind “breading”. they’re also quite good for dipping in anything you’d dip a tortilla chip in.

@AnnaB - holy moly! duck rinds?? oh man, i’m hungry just thinking about that.

@carl669 Not mine to share. Best thing I’ve learned from the person who makes it the best (imo) is to season your chicken while it’s cooking - don’t fear the garlic.
(I discovered the pork rinds & buffalo dip combo while low-carbing. It was insane to knock back that many calories and still be down on the scale the next day.)

@Thumperchick i think you might need to get permission to share from your buffalo dip sensei. otherwise i might have to start swearing in the forums or something.

it always surprises me how much i can eat and still maintain my weight. (i’ve already lost a bunch and am just maintaining now)

@carl669 it took me 5 years of friendship and a promise to not share it for me to get it. I think one that’s close is the Frank’s Red Hot recipe. Just remember the garlic thing.

@jbartus yes, maybe. assuming you’re eating low carb aside from the pork rinds.

you can find them at just about any grocery store. i get mine at walmart. i don’t suggest getting the flavored ones as they can have weird stuff in them. i just get the plain ones. ingredient list is pork skin and salt.

@jbartus gross can very well be the key operating word in this sentence. The idea of them can be off-putting, and unless you’re watching what you eat overall, I wouldn’t add them to the SAD that most of us eat.

@jbartus Well, no. Fat is still fat and too much of it is still not good. But in equivalent amounts by weight you can probably eat more of them then, say, tortilla chips.
