@sammydog01 when i switch over to Sirius, either in the car, or on the app, my main channel is Lithium (Grunge and 90’s alternative), AKA the Music I listened to in HS.

@f00l Oh man, that’s a great and infuriating book! The moment when the author enters the narrative I was like, OH MY GOD HE’S IN THE BOOK! I don’t know why it was so exciting, it’s not like it’s a mystery. I may be easily entertained. But it’s a fabulous read if you want to be annoyed by society.
You might want to listen to Tyler Schultz’s Thicker Than Water, from Audible. Tyler is George Shultz’s grandson and was a whitstleblower.
Same story, from inside the scam. His grandfather, who was in his nineties, and who had been thoroughly conned by Elizabeth Holmes, didn’t believe him for a long time, and put huge pressure on him.
The We Hate Movies podcast. Although i should be studying for my certification. When I do that then I listen to Sabaton. For some reason it makes it easier to stay focused. Nothing like listening to a Swedish heavy metal band singing in English that does nothing but songs about history.
@mschuette I was introduced to them by Indy Neidell and their Youtube channel. If they come to the US in the near future then I will definitely see them in concert. I am an 80s metal head and this is awesome to me. It shows that it isn’t dead.
@Fodder650 Check out Raubtier and Hulkoff (both bands with Pär Hulkoff). Joakim has been a guest on a few songs, and the overall styles are pretty similar, Raubtier being a bit more electronic.
@jsh139 I was not able to see them when they were in Seattle on their recent tour, and I was skeptical about Xer0, but this album really felt kinda special. Need to give it a few more listens.
@mschuette I’ve listened to it twice now and I really like it. It’s definitely got that classic static-x feel. I think they distort and “program” Xer0’s voice just enough so that it sounds a little like Wayne but with a scratchier tone. Not sure how I feel about that, but it does make the album flow better. It’s harder to tell which songs are 100% Wayne vocals and which are Xer0.
The squeaks, rattles, and clunks of my car. I rarely turn on the radio while driving nowadays since my commute to/from the office is only about 15 minutes each way.
Whatever MP3s I have sitting in iTunes still, after canceling the streaming music services.
Spotify’s discovery wosit had stopped giving me anything interesting, would just push me toward a lot of meh music… I don’t miss it very much, but I do miss it more than expected.
I’m about to start buying more CDs. People do not realize the value of music that isn’t going to suddenly disappear on you. (Happened to me a couple times, and there’s a bunch of stuff that never showed up in the first place.)
@Targaryen sounds very Tron at the beginning.
@Targaryen
ThePrimeThanatos
@Targaryen I actually listened to a fair bit of that and enjoyed it quite a bit.
@Targaryen
I just got SiriusXM in my car and am listening to the Escape channel which is mostly easy listening versions of soft rock songs. It’s relaxing.

@RiotDemon Ohh! Thanks for sending me to an Eduard Artemiev rabbit hole! Amazing, especially considering when and how it was done.
Not music, but …

@f00l Ooh, yeah, I remember him from the book! Such a sad story (I mean, they’re all sad stories). I didn’t realize he’d written a book as well.
@f00l Also, I guess we’re getting off topic, so I’ll post a song.

@Fodder650 Yay Sabaton!! I’ve seen them several times in concert, really great! Maybe concerts will happen again some day.

2 new uploads from some bands I’ve gotten into the last year or so:
/youtube foxy shazam dreamer
/youtube unleash the archers zombie
The sound of the AC blowing through the house.
@rtjhnstn That sounds cool
