@fuzzmanmatt well I have the mandolin but have yet to use it. I won it in a raffle. As it was handed to me, the presenter warned me to read the instructions carefully she had learned the hard way
Look, i can't speak to anything in this bundle, but as someone who once spent $10 on a cheap mandolin: you should really just spend $25 on a good mandolin.
@conandlibrarian I press them with the bottom of a heavy casserole. I put the dough between the halves of a cut-open ziploc bag (the ones I got from meh of course) and put the casserole on top.
I know those presses are super cheap but I never get around to buying one.
I have the mini burger press and it works quite well. If you are making more than a couple burgers it does pay to have at least 2 so while one is cooking you can load the other one. I cook for a hubby and three boys having two was a must.
PSA: Be very careful with the mandoline slicer. I bought the potato chip maker here some time ago and it resulted in a trip to the Emergency Room. And the pinky on my right hand being slightly smaller than the one on my left. Use gloves, make sure you are completely awake and sober.
I'd like a 33% discount since I don't have a mandoline. In fact, I'm not musically inclined at all. So just the first two items will impart enough pressure to make me take a slice out of my bank account.
@harveydanger homemade English muffins are so damn good and honestly I think that thing might work even if you would get some janky edges on them (but then again isn't that what's great about English muffins?)
* OK meh... I was doing fine until I got down the list of slider recipes and spit coffee all over my monitor... Any chance I could send it back to the manufacturer from whence it could become a 'refurb' on this very site?

@kus This is a yooge deal, time to "fire" up the grill
@jmoor783 whadda ham.
You can " in grate " u ate yourself with this set
@AttyVette Slicing the puns rather thin tonight, are we?
@mike808 Yeah, it's choppy, but I still give @attyvette a patty on the back for her nightly puns.
@AttyVette I want to slider a pun in, but I can not think of one.
Or you can go to White Castle.......
@somf69 true they have those womderful steam holes.
@jml326 and chicken a**holes, too. What part of the chicken, exactly, did you think a "chicken ring" comes from?
NOTHING better than White Castle or Krystal when you shouldn't be driving anyway. Burp.
@somf69, not in California, you can't... sob ðŸ˜
@haydesigner or in Maryland! I have to deal with those crappy freezer section facsimiles...
This isnt cutting edge meh offerings!
@Bayamonprieto77 Correct! They're chopping prices!
Meh, at least we got an email finally.
Where's Billy Mays when you need him? Or Vince, the ShamWow guy...is he available?
@eeterrific Alas, Billy is no longer. Vince ... is he still in jail?
@narfcake nooooo...
Not Billy. I find it hard to believe that Vince couldn't talk his way out of jail. Can u imagine being his cell mate?
Don't be racist, Black Castles matter too
@SilentMaxx
I would be hard pressed to buy this
Not so grate, meh.
When pressed, its not so grate no matter how you slice it.
I'd get this if only I didn't have a mandolin already
@justan79 I too have a mandolin already. And it has some of my thumb. I should probably get one with a guard, like this one.
@fuzzmanmatt well I have the mandolin but have yet to use it. I won it in a raffle. As it was handed to me, the presenter warned me to read the instructions carefully she had learned the hard way
Eating Terrible with meh.
Do we get a button for trying the recipes?
Need recipe for ground goat sliders.
@OldCatLady Step 1. Get goat. Step 2. Trip goat unexpectedly. Step 3. Push downhill. Step 4. Garnish and serve
@h1p1n3 Okay, ground and sliced and weighed and pressed goat meat. For an authentic feeling, cook over sheep chip fire
Love the meh face today!
@thismyusername - First frowny face, I think? Slippery slope.
This kit would look amazing next to my unopened breakfast sandwich maker and slapchop.
@h1p1n3 You're gonna love my nut burgers.
What has this world come to that we can't make our own meat patties.
@jml326 I don't understand where the iphone docks?
Dear Meh,
I knew (pre-Amazon) Woot. I bought many things from Woot. I was a charter member of Woot. You, Meh, are no Woot.
@Fartstick Woot has sold stuff as shitty (or even shittier) too, y'know.
@narfcake Agreed. And here's proof :)
https://www.woot.com/offers/candi-the-usb-pole-dancer-dec-11
@mehvermore Damn! Sold out.
@mehvermore Ah, it was a simpler time....
@narfcake yeah, but my nostalgic mind glosses over all the junk. BOC was the bomb...
Herb grater? Mini burger press? If the third item was a kitchen scale, I'd say you're implying something sinister about your customer base...
@fuzzmanmatt Don't know what you're talking about, man.
total... fucking... meh.
I saw that slider-maker in a thrift store yesterday.
I didn't buy it then, either.
I didn't refresh for this...
Meh, but the write-up had me laughing.
Welp, I know what I'm watching tonight…
Look, i can't speak to anything in this bundle, but as someone who once spent $10 on a cheap mandolin: you should really just spend $25 on a good mandolin.
I'd be willing to buy the mandoline alone for like $15. Assuming I bought this I'd give the other pieces away as lazy lazy gifts
A beefy package, but I'll have to let this combo slide by. Just don't have the cheddar for it.
Gag
I actually need a tortilla press, you got any in the back?
@awk I want a tortilla press!! I roll my tortillas out by hand, and it would make things so much quicker.
@conandlibrarian I press them with the bottom of a heavy casserole. I put the dough between the halves of a cut-open ziploc bag (the ones I got from meh of course) and put the casserole on top.
I know those presses are super cheap but I never get around to buying one.
(these are corn tortillas btw)
Super meh.
I could be ungrateful, but no matter how you slice it, this one doesnt cut the mustard.....
I have the mini burger press and it works quite well. If you are making more than a couple burgers it does pay to have at least 2 so while one is cooking you can load the other one. I cook for a hubby and three boys having two was a must.
I make burgers.
Never needed something like this.
Sorry guys, but meh.
Think I'll get a couple for gifts. Good price.
I have said it before, and will say it again:
Always use the goddamn pusher thingy on a mandoline slicer. You will lose your fingertips if you do not!
@RobinBobcat Was it hard to type that message w/o fingertips?
@RobinBobcat @sligett It worked for Tony Iommi.
Tiny meat? Meh
@Bkmack Drumpf Fingers
PSA: Be very careful with the mandoline slicer. I bought the potato chip maker here some time ago and it resulted in a trip to the Emergency Room. And the pinky on my right hand being slightly smaller than the one on my left. Use gloves, make sure you are completely awake and sober.
@marvelljones You too, huh?
I'd like a 33% discount since I don't have a mandoline. In fact, I'm not musically inclined at all. So just the first two items will impart enough pressure to make me take a slice out of my bank account.
Ya, I just can't, and won't, eat anything described as a "slider".
That slider press is a unitasker. Alton Brown would be disappointed.
@harveydanger you mean that egg fryer? that english muffin pan? that home defense weapon?
@Lotsofgoats Mmmm, homemade English muffins.
@harveydanger homemade English muffins are so damn good and honestly I think that thing might work even if you would get some janky edges on them (but then again isn't that what's great about English muffins?)
@Lotsofgoats I could make sliders on homemade English muffin buns. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
* OK meh... I was doing fine until I got down the list of slider recipes and spit coffee all over my monitor... Any chance I could send it back to the manufacturer from whence it could become a 'refurb' on this very site?
who the eff wants little burgers? does anyone remember these funny burgers? why do you have to make me remember these things MEH WHHYYY
