I hope you LOVE IT! When is it coming? Is it going on an adjustable frame, raised head and/or zero gravity? Those are wonderful, the best, IMO. What about heat, or cooling for the tootsies?
Mattresses are tough enough to buy when you try them out first, but I guess when you’re spending THAT kind of money it’s got to be somewhat comfortable. Right…?
Please do come back to tell us how much you love it!
@cf1 I’m sorry, this topic has a minimum purchase requirement. You’ll find your topic down the stairs and to the right, next to the public restrooms and the janitor’s topic.
@cf1@macromeh That’s better than mine; it’s in the self-service racks downstairs between exit from the fake plants and the cashiers. (And the space is empty, the item may have been discontinued.)
I think this falls under the category of ‘nope, not buying online’. Meat and vegies fall in that for me because I want to pick out my own and not get something half assed. I have watched the way those 18 year old instore shoppers pick our merchandise, like they do not have a clue what to do with it.
Beds fall in that category for me. as well. For that kind of money I want to lay down in the one getting delivered to my home, not just one like it!
@Cerridwyn If I had to cite one specific item that needs to be buyer-selected every time, it’s brisket. OMFG are the variations vast and unpredictable.
A couple years ago, MrsStrych9 talked me into an eye-poppingly expensive bed and adjustable frame. After a month of the best sleep I’d had in decades, the credit card bill came due and I was happy to pay it. The mattress is great, but getting that little incline for my head made so much difference. And the vibration/massage feature is akin to taking a baby for drive to calm her down!
My grandfather always said that we spend so much of our time on our feet or on our backs, the most important things to buy were good shoes and good beds.
Someday, you should upgrade to a 4K bed. The stunning clarity and brightness will be worth it!
About a dollar a night for the next 8 years. It’s fine.

Gee, mine was only 2k. I feel like a cheapskate now.

@cf1 You are not a cheapskate compared to me. Mine was $400 plus 2 target foam pad toppings.
@cf1 @macromeh @werehatrack
Ikea?

Thank you for telling me that the beds I see all night every night in their TV ads are just as expensive as I guessed they would be.

@str8strych9 what did you get?
Brand, model, size, etc.?
@G1 The mattress is an Aireloom, I think in the Night Stars line; queen size. The adjustable base is Beautyrest Black.
Good Luck with your mattress. I hope it is completely awesome and you are so happy you bought it.
KRULL! A SKULL! BRETT HULL! AWESOME!
