I’m not in the market for luggage right now, but if I were, the most important question I would have is “Do they stack/nest?”
Not while traveling, of course. But when storing them at home, do the smaller ones fit inside the bigger ones?
Glancing at the pictures, I think the wheels prevent it, as well as them all being the same basic thickness.
Skimming the dimensions listed seems to confirm that. But I’m not sure those can be trusted, since some of the inside and outside dimensions are the same (which would be fine if they were always rounding to the nearest inch, but they’re not).
@xobzoo I was wondering the same when I read your post. So I went back and read the specs again, only to find this, that I missed the first time reading…
Detachable dual glide tech wheel system offers smooth maneuverability.
So I wonder if you remove the wheels, will the pieces then nest together? Also curious if said detachable wheels detach at the most inconvenient times?! If I was in the meh warehouse, I’d go experiment with these just for something fun and different to do this morning!
@JWhirly@xobzoo What I would really treasure is finding a set of luggage that I could swap from spinner wheels to skate wheels for safer transition from airport to city street operational paradigms. Particularly with the larger bags, the casters can be an affirmative safety hazard either in drag-along mode or in upright mode when negotiating surfaces that are uneven or somewhat pitched or non-flat. I tucked a folding hand truck into my big spinner bag the last time I flew with it, just so that I could avoid the deathwobbles from the casters.
@ExtraMedium@JWhirly@werehatrack@xobzoo Well a giphy fail overall but what the caption asks is appropriate. It would be the good old days of meh if you did that.
@JWhirly@Kidsandliz@werehatrack@xobzoo Oh, that does sound delightful! However, as someone living 2000 miles from the warehouse, I didn’t think I’m the best person for the job of shenanigising, nor filming such activities. Sorry to disappoint.
You can’t get out of this this easily. I’d suspect you do know how to get hold of those who work in the warehouse and could let them know about the twisted community request. Not to mention I don’t think there has been a new video for ages, just recycling really old ones… Just sayin’
@werehatrack@xobzoo Indeed, overall prefer the ruggedness of the skate wheels. Skate wheels also take up less packable space. Only like the casters for maneuverability at the gate or when need nimble movability/flexibility, e.g. queue lines, hotel check-in, airport restaurants, etc. A “convertible” wheel would be perfect! Let’s invent that!
@Kidsandliz And now you have reminded me that I have been forgetting to take photos with my KnittaPlease! item in the frame along my journeys. That’s an omission I need to address later in the year.
@frankdimes@Kidsandliz The above suitcase is both really cool looking and would be a BREEZE to spot on the baggage carousel!
Today I’m literally unpacking new luggage to wrap for my future daughter-in-law’s bridal shower this Saturday. They picked black. Why, oh why, did they pick black…the most common color of luggage?! Something like this would have been sooo much cooler.
@frankdimes@k4evryng@Kidsandliz
I agree with you completely! I’d probably buy that luggage if it was real. I actually have a paisley suitcase but it’s not nearly so colorful.
Just got mine. They came nested, which is great storing and obviously when shipping to me. They are definitely worth the money IMHO. I’m very happy with this purchase

Stanley or a cousin?
Between Boeing’s problems and flying Hamas to the US, I really don’t want to be on a plane right now.
I’d rather have a negroni than a margarita.
@OnionSoup was a pandemic favorite at home… potent!
/showme a horror movie poster by Pixar that stars a 3-piece Italian luggage set
I, too, have trouble counting sometimes @mediocrebot.
@haydesigner @mediocrebot Three are from Italy, the rest are from Transylvania.

And then they need to video the shenanigans they will engage in for our entertainment. How about it @extramedium?

@ExtraMedium @Kidsandliz @werehatrack @xobzoo said videos would sell more product!! Just say’n.

So do these come along with a Flat Stanley and a requirement to post photos to help along those grade schoolers who need to do that project?
@Kidsandliz oh my, I remember sending out flat Stanley when I was in elementary school
@Kidsandliz And now you have reminded me that I have been forgetting to take photos with my KnittaPlease! item in the frame along my journeys. That’s an omission I need to address later in the year.
Beethoven is the best Stanley Tucci film
showme/ mixed paisley suitcase
@frankdimes dash needs to be on the other side of show me.
/showme mixed paisley suitcase
@frankdimes fixed it for you (grin).
@Kidsandliz Thanks…my first attempt to try it out…

@frankdimes backslash has to be before any commands
@Kidsandliz Slash, not backslash. Chocolate shortage?

@Kyeh that’s so pretty!!
@k4evryng Thanks!
@frankdimes OK so I wrote backslash when I meant slash… follow the visuals and not my words.
What, are you selling Stanley Tucci’s luggage now?
Give it back, he needs it. He travels a lot.
Just got mine. They came nested, which is great storing and obviously when shipping to me. They are definitely worth the money IMHO. I’m very happy with this purchase
/showme fractal rainbow suitcase with skate wheels and a collapsible handle
skate != skateboard, and that looks more like a spinner setup, but I’d still take that over what I’ve got for carry-on.
