Meh holiday exchange
7Are we still wanting to do it after the holidays like last year? I have no problem running it again this year as long as I get somebody to help me. I was on my phone constantly last year making sure people who signed up were legit and then the packages were out and replying to email.

Do you still have the link to last year’s reveal thread? I tried to find it but haven’t so far. The person I sent a box to said she’d like to help run an exchange but I can’t remember her name!

I’d be in as I’ve “collected” a few things
I might be stable a week or two before Christmas. Spoiler alert: I’m helping clear out inventory at my friend’s boardgame store so you can guess what I’m probably going to be knee-deep in. (Other than TrakRs)
I am down for it. I had fun last year.

@capnjb I think I have 4 or 5 trackrs left … and I can always get more resin… I do have an idea what I will make. For what I’m planning, I don’t need more trackrs than that.
@capnjb @OnionSoup i think anyone that wants them will find a virtually unlimited supply of (dead) TrakRs. I have at least a dozen left which I will happily send to anyone that wants them. Some I believe have

@capnjb @ybmuG I always thought it would be fun to run a “Trackr Olympics” have everyone send one decorated trackr and have a tournament… Kinda like if you’ve seen Jelle’s Marble League Olympics, or pinewood derby style racing, etc.
Don’t know if enough people have one left now though.
Could have several events… Racing (have them slide down a slope, fastest wins) Hurdles, (same idea but with several jumps along the way)… You get the idea film it as a competition.
The person with the most mediocre trackr (median value across all events) gets all the trackrs mailed to them as a prize.

I recently had a series of garage sales where I sold an astonishing amount of trackrs for $1 each. I am not sure how to feel about that.
@djslack Wow, that’s quite the profit. I’m assuming the purchasers didn’t know Trackr wasn’t officially supported anymore.
@OnionSoup I talked to anyone I saw looking at them and told them about them and the swiftfinder app. Some put them down, some bought anyway. But others disappeared without my noticing. So it’s a mixed bag there.

Actually, I have a friend that wants as many Trackrs as I can get him. He is planning an art mosiac project with them. He works in the medical field he started making a mosaic with the plastic covers of injectable medication bottles. The one with Trackrs is going to be on a slightly larger scale.

I’ve got one more case of 3 to each box ready to go. I know I’ve also got several manila envelopes stuffed with them too, wherever they are… 
I just got rid of a whole case of them, 2 to each box, on our local Buy Nothing group and I wrote on every one to use the swiftfinder app. And that they only worked with Android. Everyone said they worked great and some even had good batteries!

Just an update.-
For anyone wondering what’s going on with the exchange, I was gonna open up the official sign up after Xmas and have it open till about mid January and then have packages go out around the 22nd or 29th. There were a few people that were gonna be gone the beginning of January that wanted to participate, so I’m trying to be accommodating so everybody can have a chance to join in on the fun.
So start getting your meh collection organized as I have not forgotten and the meh exchange is just around the corner.

Water damage to my kitchen has left me without a kitchen. Or ceiling lights. Or power to 3/4 of my house.
Until I figure out what’s scrawled on the breakers, mop up all the water that is forming a river into the living room, and dump all the water-logged carpet across three floors… I’ll be wriging out the New Year for awhile.
