Meh holiday exchange
6Are we still wanting to do it after the holidays like last year? I have no problem running it again this year as long as I get somebody to help me. I was on my phone constantly last year making sure people who signed up were legit and then the packages were out and replying to email.

Do you still have the link to last year’s reveal thread? I tried to find it but haven’t so far. The person I sent a box to said she’d like to help run an exchange but I can’t remember her name!

I’d be in as I’ve “collected” a few things
I might be stable a week or two before Christmas. Spoiler alert: I’m helping clear out inventory at my friend’s boardgame store so you can guess what I’m probably going to be knee-deep in. (Other than TrakRs)
I am down for it. I had fun last year.
Oh, I remembered, @Star2236! It was @dptalia who said she’d be up for helping run an exchange.
I will be in… if the timing works. Gonna be gone from 12/25/24 to 1/17/25. Then another week at the end of Jan and another 10 days end of Feb

I’ve got a big boy 3D printer now… not sure if I can make a candy corn ghost, but I’m sure there is something absurd, somewhere up my sleeves

@capnjb I think I have 4 or 5 trackrs left … and I can always get more resin… I do have an idea what I will make. For what I’m planning, I don’t need more trackrs than that.
@capnjb @OnionSoup i think anyone that wants them will find a virtually unlimited supply of (dead) TrakRs. I have at least a dozen left which I will happily send to anyone that wants them. Some I believe have

@capnjb @ybmuG I always thought it would be fun to run a “Trackr Olympics” have everyone send one decorated trackr and have a tournament… Kinda like if you’ve seen Jelle’s Marble League Olympics, or pinewood derby style racing, etc.
Don’t know if enough people have one left now though.
Could have several events… Racing (have them slide down a slope, fastest wins) Hurdles, (same idea but with several jumps along the way)… You get the idea film it as a competition.
The person with the most mediocre trackr (median value across all events) gets all the trackrs mailed to them as a prize.

I recently had a series of garage sales where I sold an astonishing amount of trackrs for $1 each. I am not sure how to feel about that.
@djslack Wow, that’s quite the profit. I’m assuming the purchasers didn’t know Trackr wasn’t officially supported anymore.
@OnionSoup I talked to anyone I saw looking at them and told them about them and the swiftfinder app. Some put them down, some bought anyway. But others disappeared without my noticing. So it’s a mixed bag there.

Actually, I have a friend that wants as many Trackrs as I can get him. He is planning an art mosiac project with them. He works in the medical field he started making a mosaic with the plastic covers of injectable medication bottles. The one with Trackrs is going to be on a slightly larger scale.
