@ELUNO Actually he is a doctor and his NAME is Strange. I mean his name is normal but Strange. It’s not Normal… Strange, his name is Strange.
Fuck!
Just watch the movie.
In 3D.
@RiotDemon From what I’ve heard/seen, a lot of weird shit goes on all around them. Buildings folding, twisting, circling around, all in glorious 3D.
So the 3D elements are more actively used than in other movies. But who knows, that might actually make you even more nauseous…
@ELUNO I’m always torn. I enjoy 3D stuff. Just certain days I can’t handle it. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s what I ate that day? Same thing when I go to Universal Studios for example. They have the Harry Potter rides that are 3D and motion. It’s about a 50/50 that they’ll make me lightly queasy.
@RiotDemon From the teaser clips, 3D is used but not from the POV of the actors- you get to see them from a few yards away. Benedict Cumberbatch looks great in a beard, and I’m probably going to see it.
I went and saw it in 3D. I forgot how terrible it is to try and wear those glasses over my glasses. My glasses are not big enough to wear over their glasses, which would be more ideal because the 3D lenses work slightly better if they’re closer to my eyeballs. I suppose if I’m going to watch another 3D movie, I’ll wear contacts… But that means I’ll need to get another contact lens exam, so that probably won’t be any time soon. (Contacts irritate my eyes, so I only wear them on Halloween.) I noticed the edges of the 3D frames because they weren’t as close as they should of been. Slightly irritating.
However, I understand why this film works well with 3D, but I think I would of enjoyed it just as much without 3D because I spent a lot of time thinking about the glasses.
I didn’t get nauseous, so that’s a plus, and there was also only 2 other people in the theater.
@RiotDemon That was funny, but I love how the close captioning said “traffic was unbelievable” and totally omitted (on the astral plane) and eliminated that joke.
I’m going Sunday afternooon. NO SPOILERS!
@looseneck Spoiler! He is a doctor and he is strange!
@ELUNO Perfect review! I don’t even watch trailers because all the good stuff is revealed.

@Mehrocco_Mole So he is Dr. Normal but Strange?
@ELUNO No, that’s his brother, Who.
@mcanavino
/youtube Who’s on first.
@2many2no that’s Strange.
@mcanavino I don’t know…
seems Normal.
@2many2no
Most 3d films with a lot of action make me kinda nauseous.
Is it still a must?

@RiotDemon I don’t like 3D movies. I saw it this afternoon in 2D and I’m counting the minutes until I can see it in 3D.
@SSteve I guess I’ll give it a try.
@OldCatLady Yeah, I don’t know when I’m going, but I’m going largely for the beard, that fantastic haircut and the CAPE.
Watched it in 2D and was glad I didn’t do 3D, I think it would have been too much
@hollboll eeeeeh. Now I’m torn again.
@RiotDemon
Tell ya what; the 2 of us will go see it. First in 2D, then the next day in 3D.
Afterwards, we will decide which was better?
Tickets of course will be sponsored by @hollboll. In the event that she declines (most unlikely), then we shall figure out the next step then.

@OldCatLady he looked very nice with his beard.
@RiotDemon He was great as host of SNL, too, but that’s way off topic. I hope to go see DS this week.

That’s not the gif I wanted.

@RiotDemon Maybe I’ll se it in IMAX
@compunaut I’m sure it’ll be good. There was a few scenes that are amazing in 3D. The quieter parts could just be regular and I’d be happy.
If no one has seen this yet…

@RiotDemon That was great. Thanks.

I may have to order a shirt. A Strange shirt. http://shirt.woot.com/offers/strange-night?ref=w_gh_sh_8_d_ph
