@hollabaq - I had a steam mop, I may even still have it somewhere. It was OK for what I understood it to be for, steam-cleaning a hard surface that is clear of detritus, but it didn’t pick up much of anything.
@reclaimercube - Well, if you feel like demonstrating, I made Rigo Jancsi! None of it got on the floor, though. Happy National Chocolate Covered Anything Day!
Supervision.
There’s an art to mopping. Done right it is beyond satisfying.
@reclaimercube - Please recommend a mop worth mopping WITH.
@aetris The one you use at restaurants. The big yellow bin. Holy shit I would mop a whole restaurant and be dancing the whole time.
@reclaimercube - A string mop?
@aetris yeah I’ve always liked them
@aetris @reclaimercube shark make a steamer mop that is very satisfying to use

Why sweep the floor? Just vacuum it.
@Darrell2 - A lot depends on the size of the shards.
@Darrell2 or if your son is terrified of vacuum noises and you want to prevent ants after he’s done eating.

Project Manager. What is your status and when will it be done?
Become a hermit,
I’ll go ahead and be in charge of calling the cleaning service.
We just use the leaf blower, or if there’s a good storm coming, open up all the doors …
@stolicat A leaf blower actually works great on stairs
I own robots that can vacuum, sweep, and mop. I’m willing to push buttons, but not much more.
@dptalia
Vacuuming is great, emptying the vacuum, not so much.
@number51 HEPA filters don’t seem so helpful when you’ve released that Chernobyl cloud of crud while emptying.
