@narfcake I dunno... with 19 orders, we can assume at least 1 a month right? I would say it saved them $30... but it's hard to be exact not knowing the specifics.
@krwudtke for best gaming, you sign up and then let it run even past the monthly anniversary charge, wait 29 more days and then request a refund of that second $5. Use it in that 29 days and your efficiency is screwed though.
@snapster Awesome... you tell people how to Game the system... IS it on a full 30 day clock or calendar date IE 15th to the 15th... in that case your example may be off a few days... or should we say the system doesn't match what @snapster declared therefore the system is wrong?
@krwudtke The best way to game the system is to buy something every day, preferably in three separate orders. You'll save a fortune ($450/month) that way!
I just cancelled mine. I was sad. But I hadn't bought anything since February (and December, before that). Just seeing if I've already been demoted icon-wise.
I'm using the meh button to track my purchases. I'd read about using it for that here somewhere. After seeing some of the angst expressed here by some of the serial button pushers I'm glad I didn't start out trying to make it "perfect." Whenever I hit the 30 day mark without any purchases I guess I'll decide then how to time my escape.
It gets you ... $60 less dollars to your name!
@narfcake
Most likely more if said VMP membership is used to buy things which otherwise wouldn't have been bought.
@FroodyFrog True.
While I've been pretty good here, I've been more tempted to buy more shirts at one site because I have free shipping (via a subscription) already.

@thismyusername Wow they made my orders public... Noone must know any more...
@darkzrobe you can make them private by turning that off.
VMP gets me more stupidity. I already have a lot on hand, i'm stockpiling stupidity in the storage unit now.
@f00l
Good thing I produce it without paying $5/month. Then again, so do most people...
@FroodyFrog
You may produce a nice daily home supply of Stupidity, but i am a Pro. This Is What I Do. VMP gives me that little extra.
@f00l
Good thing you don't know me well.
I love being a VMP, hook, line and Sinker
I just buy VMP when i buy a product, and cancel it a month later.
@chacham that was my plan, but they keep offering crap I think I want....
@thismyusername And exactly how does that change anything...
@chacham I keep buying it...
@chacham Do you cancel on the day that it would renew, the day before, what? I just signed up today and I want to game the system the best I can.

@krwudtke The day before, just to be safe. I don't know the rules.
@krwudtke listen to the octopus he knows what he's talking about.

@snapster Thanks, Oc. I saw the bit about the refund and thought that might be the case.

Edit: Yup.
