I'm surprised that you don't mention that it is the only state represented by a senator who outright calls himself a socialist. (Who is also the longest serving independent, ever)
@WilhelmScreamer it's also the only state in the us without a target. They are in 49 other states. Target gets a permit to build in Williston Vermont and then it's revealed they will not be building in Williston Vermont. Additionally the first walmart went in in 1996 to be the last state to get a walmart. There are 4 to date in the whole state.
@WilhelmScreamer also what do you expect from a state that two towns put a warrant for arrest of George W Bush and Dick Cheney while they were in office. If they ever stepped foot in town they were to be arrested. They never visited the state.
Interesting. Yet it didn't hit any of the good points. Like birthplace of Ben & Jerry's, Cabot, and keurig. Also maple is the state flavor. It has the highest number of breweries per capita with no major chain breweries (although you could say that magic hat is somewhat as they are owned by a larger chain now.) Home of Heady topper. Also there are no laws against being naked in public. Stripping in public is still illegal. Vermont one of the most liberal states in the Union. The 1st state to join the union after the original colonies. And no we are not a part of Canada. shall I continue. Billboards are also illegal.
I also have written to the company om that makes the tools. As they have nothing to do with Vermont now. Just in name.
@sohmageek They never did, it seems. It started, by being given massive orders by Sears to the extent of being their only customer. Kenmore, Craftsman, Silvertone and others actually started the same way. VA seemed to be midwest based and grew by acquistion until being acquired by Robert Bosch. Must have just sounded good.
@kadagan the site is kind of stupid. But the facts were interesting. I didn't know the motto. I thought it was "what's a motto you" or "ya can't get there from here" the 2nd is heard a lot more
Well that was… educational…ish.
Wisconsin can suck it. :)
I know this is based on the tools being Vermont, but I smell a new video series. 49 more to go...
I feel more intellectual now! Thanks @matthew - it seemed quite truthy!

It is a nifty bit of trivia.

@sohmageek don't forget it also has the only state capital without a McDonalds!

@sohmageek I think we have a 4 pack of HT here from my other half's last run to VT. It's a great place to visit, drink, snack, and sight see.
@sohmageek And it has the summer camp I grew up going to there and that one and my grandmother's also there that I worked at...
Was that a Dan Quayle reference I heard you sneak in there? Or am I misremembering my social gaffe quote?
Bonus points 4U
Play button makes it read as Vermont farts.
@Fen_Star I don't read much cursive.
@Fen_Star What's cold and smells like maple syrup?
@nadroj I laughed way too hard at this...
As a VT'er, when I saw the vid of the day link, I literally gasped with anticipation. This made my day. Thanks @matthew!
Apparently nobody lives in Vermont, and it's a vacation area for rich people that work in NYC.
Sterling Archer: "Wait, does Vermont have liquor stores? It has to. It sucks there."
"Calvin 'uh' Coolidge" makes me laugh every time I watch this.
Found something funny... http://quizpug.com/how-much-do-you-know-about-vermont/?r=3q1002
I got an A+
@sohmageek I got an A+, but only had 8/12 right.. apparently they aren't too good at math in Vermont...
