@awk Carrot juice is one the most innocuous-looking but vile beverage I ever had. Without fail, whenever I try to force myself to drink it, I regurgitate it almost instantly.
@gommiebears I've only had it in "V8-splash" well hidden behind the sweet juices... what I do like about it is gives juice a really cool shimmering effect... it's like drinking unicorn blood.
@gommiebears I will assume that this isn't your issue (it is definitely an acquired taste), but just in case - carrot juice seems to go bad very, very quickly.
I've owned two juicers in my life: My first is a Braun high speed/centrifugal that is perhaps 20 years old (really??? I'm that old?) and a more recent Omega VRT slow/masticating unit.
These days I use my Vitamix a LOT more but I do tend to juice veggies (when I have time - juicing simply takes time and there's no way around it) when they are relatively cheap around here - roughly July - October.
I'm not sure I currently feel any healthier when I do juice, so that tends to lower my motivation to do so. I know when I used to eat HORRIBLY (I used to have a "no Wendy's more than 5x a week" rule that I usually kept...) that juicing did seem to give me a bit more energy. However, now that I tend to eat significantly more healthfully, the difference isn't as marked.
The masticating juicer definitely helps the juice last longer, but not like the 72 hours that I've heard bandied about. I still wouldn't keep it for more than a day.
Cool so this is kinda useless
I've been wanting a juicer, for a while, but definitely not this one.
...used by colonic irrigation therapists to condition one's innards after an unnatural, invasive cleanse.
@eyewerks
Carrot juice is probably the greatest pleasure one can receive orally.

Been wanting a juicer ......
I tried juicing coffee beans.....the boiling water thing works better.
Vegetable juices are: more popular than animal juices or mineral juices.

The best juice I ever had was carrot-orange juice from when I lived overseas. Good stuff!
carrot juice is delicious when cut with celery juice. don't forget the celery leaves.
